Obviously neither Brown or Richardson did any due diligence work otherwise they would know that something is wrong because of half our playing list complaining about Ratts and wanting out :rolleyes::confused:

Certainly highly regarded by me. :D

When he speaks - people listen.

Won a best and fairest by always doing the team things, and the Bullants were successful for the same reasons.

Appears to have the tactical nous as well, taking 6th and 3rd placed teams to consecutive grand-finals appearances including frequent wins over the dominant first placed sides during his coaching tenure.

Outcoaches German and Ayers frequently - for whatever that's worth. :thumbsu:

Always have had a lot of time for Teague, on and off the field.

Unfortunately was not able to win a premiership with the Bullants but to take them to 2 consecutive grand finals is an excellent achievement, especially considering where they finished on the ladder in both years.

I reckon he'll do very well as a full time assistant coach at the Eagles and I wish him well.

This opens up a spot on our coaching panel, and as the Bullants coach. I wonder who will take that job. In all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Wiggins was appointed coach of the Bullants.
 
Who is likely to get the bullants gig?

It is important to keep a good line of communication between the blues and bullants lists. I presume that it won't be Brown or Richardson.

There has already been a bit of talk about the North Ballarat head coach Gerard FitzGerald. Thought the skills he seems to have developed with his team were outstanding and a great record at that level. Could he have a role at Visy? Who else?

Connects very well with the young players, is a great teacher and very highly respected at Carlton. Won a B&F at Carlton (during our dark years) and knows the value of hard-work and application - not a naturally gifted show pony! Will be the youngest assistant coach going round I think.
 
Has anyone heard anything further about who else we might be adding to our coaching panel?

Just watched the Gavin Brown interview. Came across as very well spoken, level headed kind of person. Very very excited to have him as our backline coach for 2011. Great stuff Carlton.
