Collingwood are anything but shoe-ins, are they in trouble?

The genuine threats imo are Brisbane, GWS, and only because they have a full healthy list and had a dream draw to allow a comprehensive finals preparation, the Cats. Hawks might be some sort of threat if they had Day, but couldn't see the best they have available winning it in 2025. Suns are a year short of mounting any serious challenge. Freo could do some damage but still a bit young I think. Crows can't seem to move the ball and not sure they will be able to repair that during a finals series but Rachele and Rankine back may make a huge difference to them if they can get that far, which I doubt.

Collingwood if they were to win it would have to be the worst performed second half of the season team to win just about in history, last night v a team who had reasons to lose was their Grand Final.

The loser of Lions v Cats should really waltz through to the GF by beating I think Freo then Pies.
Respect for your detailed answer!

Right now I'd have it:

1. Brisbane
2. Collingwood
3. Geelong
4. GWS
5. Hawthorn
6. Adelaide
7. Fremantle
8. Gold Coast

The home prelim/recent premier combination for Collingwood simply can't be written off, while Brisbane's best is probably the best and they're the defending champs. Geelong you'd think make it to a prelim and then have a decent shot at whatever game that is. The winner of GWS/Hawthorn can definitely go on a run as the wildcard team though.

There is no way he could ever acknowledge Geelong or Collingwood. He can't hitch to Adelaide. I'm expecting he would select GWS and...Fremantle?...as his next seeds after Brisbane.
Close.

I mean I'm a bit of a Fagan fan boy but even i cant deny the Geelong Brisbane game is likely to produce a premier and possibly both grand finalists.

We are a chance, still a zillion years old, but better than the Elim 4.

They got absolutely blessed when GC couldn’t beat Port. Hawthorn would have been a much tougher matchup. The Crows have a bottom 6 midfield without Rankine.

That being said you can only beat the teams you play, so credit to them.
That’s true mate. Hey is it true you fellas haven’t beaten a finals team in over 20 years?

lol - your use of selective analysis is absurd. Why have you decided a 14-2 start was irrelevant to building the bona fides of Coll, and then emphatically dismiss the humbling of the Minor Premiership on their home ground.

You may not like it, but we are back.

Both sides played terribly last night, both will lose their next match.
rnd 24 gave the preview:
Crows limped over the line against 16th who put 100 points on the board against them
Pies snatched a win by a goal against 14th who don't have a coach
Hardly great form going into finals

I am not a horrible person NS. I just tell the truth, I can't help it if you think the truth is horrible.

Why pick 66 years ? Only a fool would imply the others don’t count.
Anything else?

I picked 66 years specifically because Collingwood has only won the Grand Final twice in that period. I am sure you would agree winning the Grand Final twice in a 66 year period doesn't entitle Collingwood supporters to conveniently forget how humble they are every time their team qualifies for finals.

Like I said , why are the other flags irrelevant- we are equal leaders in flags. We are continually contending.

Rich missed the finals for so many years that a whole generation of your kids were going to knitting and crochet classes, because football held no interest due to Rich being a deplorable rabble.

BTW - My sister needs a scarf - can you help?

You've told Meteoric Rise you have a sister...

Something you may live to regret....

The race for the most Grand Final victories in history is the ultimate marathon NS, and we wouldn't even be half way yet. During the early part of the race, you were on the runaway leader. That was about one hundred years ago. Then you started to come back to the field...then you got the stitch...that was about 66 years ago. Something tells me you are not likely to hang on to your now shared 3 way lead for another 66 years. In fact, you are, as Ray Conroy used to say at the Harold Park Trots - gonzo.

By the way, ask your sister for a divorce first before I even think of giving her a scarf.

No Richmond?

Nice come back - that gave me a laugh.
At least you acknowledge you were learning to knit scarves during Richmonds dark days.
Now about the scarf - how long will it take ?
