I don't recall Trav being one of the players said to not like Buckley, but there are a few who don't, I know of that.

Be interested to know who those are, because I know of the majority having no issue with it.

There are definitely some, and a couple who like bucks but are unhappy with Malthouse leaving.

I havent heard any were looking for trades like you mentioned beams though

There'd have to be some who don't find him their cup of tea. Well they better get used to him, he's the coach now. And if they have issues, they might need to face them together.

Bucks is one person acutely aware of his failings in the past, and I think if he is made explicitly aware he has an issue, he can then think around it (like when Mick changed him from being a petulant captain to a true leader of men).

On Trav, I heard from a friend of a friend that it was Buckley who was adamant he would stay at Collingwood, when the situation blew up last year. And there's nothing greater for a player than being wanted and valued by the coach.

Well said. We are supposed to just cop the loss in the neck and get on with it the next day? It is the supporter that ultimately pays for these guys and their lifestyle and I guess we choose when the f*** we feel like getting of our collective ar*es and fawn over them.

Not exactly. I feel for the players, I really do. To put in so much work over the preseason, to play week in week out of brute footy and on top of that watch over what you eat and ignore the cravings of certain things is tough but you do it for the glory of a premiership, and to ultimately lose it at the end hurts.

Even though the players get paid shitloads for what they do, it just shows the players mindset isn't just about the money, but for the premiership.

Multiply by thrice and you would get a fair indication of the disdain for Mr Malthouse. But that doesn't mean they perform any worse just because they are not bedfellows with their leader.

Nick doesn't strike me as a person who will say he only three years left. He'll stay until his told to leave or until he isnt fit enough.

Yes, you are correct you did say that but you prefaced that by saying he had "3 years tops"

The clear point of your post was that you were saying Maxwell only had 3 years left, I merely pointed out that you could not construe that from anything that Maxwell said.
In fact all you were doing was making an assumption based on nothing, or as someone else pointed out, you were reading far too much into what Maxwell had said.

Since then I think you have come to realisation that Maxwell didn't say anything like what you initially believed he said and now you have moved your argument to your "Or 3 years at least left" statement: but even that is is just further speculation and isn't based on anything Maxwell said.

All I can say about this thread is that it's designed to undermine team morale. I wouldn't think any true Collingwood supporter would have anything to do with this stuff. I know people can get curious about what the players are thinking but you can't read their minds by using a 10 word tweet that hardly makes any sense in the first place.....
