"Like the termites they are, the Richmond supporters have crawled out of the woodwork to jump on the bandwagon now their team is up and firing. But as we’ve seen all too often in the past, at the first sniff of failure, they’ll retreat to whence they came – but not after a few stray spits." by Martin 'Sugar' Ford
Anyone heard of this fudge packer before?

Don't worry about him, his comments will be proven to by hypocritical when you see the weak turnout from Collingwood fans on Sunday. Every team in the league has supporters who come on board when the team is winning and disappear when the going is tough.

Perhaps we should all chip in and purchase abrown jacket to be waved when Joffa senses the team is playing like crap again?

Talk bout fair weather sailors they ditch the jacket the first sign of trouble!

All those who despise us are clearly worried. We've been down for a long time and things finally look like improving. I'm loving it.
Just like on the main board here. You know opposition supporters are getting really desperate when they have to resort to the 'spitters' and 'bandwagoners' calls.

It's just so ridiclulous its laughable. You tell me any other club in the league that could still be a getting the crowd like we saw last week after the last 25 years like we've had to put up with.Even the skunks would struggle.

They played the saints at the G and only got 43,000 when there should have been at least 60.

I'm loving it and if we do end up walloping them this week Im gonna make every post a winner.

Christ I hope we do! My first game this season and cant wait. Sadly my Collingwood supporting suste in law bought us tickets in M4 for Gods sake..lol Bitch hahaa Oh well be all the sweeter when we win!

Here's some interesting real stats that might add some perspective to who really might be the bandwagoner club(s) ...

___________1997___1998___1999____2000____2001___2002___2003___2004
Collingwood 22,761--27,099--32,358--28,932---31,455 32,549 40,000+
Richmond -- 24,975--27,092--29,047--26,869---26,501--27,251--
St Kilda --- 16,610--23,204--20,793--17,855---22,248---17,696--23,000+ 30,000+

Interesting to see the 25% rise in Collingwood members the year after they make a Grand Final. And the sharp drop after finishing th in 1999.

The Saints membership numbers were diabolical in 1997, up nearly 50% the following year after a GF appearance in 97 ... then down dramatically again 99 to 02 (a disastrous year in m'ship figures) ... and back on board again with a massive 29% jump in 2004 when finals seem a possibility.

Richmond m'ship numbers, on the other hand, have remained fairly steady regardless of ladder position from 1997 through to 2005 ... we've been anywhere from 3rd to 9th to 16th in this period.

Sheds some light on the old bandwagon issue, I'm sure you'll all agree.

But let's not ruin in it for them all with the facts, I spose ...

Three tickets in M5, Row B ... I figured that maybe by half time, that most of the seats up that end of the ground will be vacant and we can move across further towards the goals *grinz*

Oh the joy to wave them all goodbye!

unlike the stinking , horrible and unsightly maggots aka "collingwood supporters" that repulse everybody all of the time!

Strangely (or maybe not so strange), the "Collingwood Army" were conspicuous by their absence at today's game ...

Just a token roll-up for a home game on a very pleasant 20 degree day.

But I resist the urge to call the Barcodes for their bandwagonism. In fact, I absolutely resist the urge ....

The official site Collongwoodfc.com.au. I saw it on Friday as well. There was a disclaimer at the end of it stating it was not the opinion of the club - still pretty p1ss poor form.

What blew me away was seeing em leave when when got 9 points in front! Talk about pessimistic!

Hahaha, yes i loved that. Some left once browny got us infront.

Anyone catch Eddie's face as they were walking off the field whilst our Song was playing?
He was red, you could almost see the steam coming out of the nostrils. It was a beautiful sight. Not many Pies fans would have seen that - they were already at their cars (or stealing them at least)

Sure did haha

NOTE MCG Security when my friend waves a Woodenspoon in the face of MM, Bucks and Eddie after the game as they come down the coachs run surely there is nothing wrong with that. After all it is all in good fun. :)
