Pathetic again.

The last 2 weeks we have kicked ourselves out of finals contention.

It is the same crap EVERY year. WE CANNOT KICK STRAIGHT.

What has the club done to address this issue?!

Apparently the players just practise a few kicks at training, and when they think they are done they go and do something else...

We need to be out there, kicking 500 set shots a day.

Dumb Footballers

Symes - cant win one on one, reads bounces poorly, cant kick

Schmidt - cant kick, doesn't compete hard enough, poor decision making

Stevens (with an opponent) - was ok today as loose man, but so he should be without an opponent, when manned up against he turns to spud.

Van Berlo - more athlete than footballer, should be a tagger and thats it.

Many other poor players especially Dangerfield, Henderson, Jaensch but they have shown they can win one on one contests, get the hard ball (less so Henderson), and have skill.

The sooner you quit posting mind numbing threads with things like 'we suck at kicking' without ANY actual thoughts or insights, the better the discussion on this board will get.

No offence, but your thread efficiency is roughly the same as Jonathon Griffin running into an open goal square.

It's amazing to see a players kicking get so much worse when they're in an AFL system. It's nearly a 100% rule across our playing list, that the skills will decrease.

Walker used to be a brilliant kick for goal, now he's a 50/50 proposition at best - and he's one of the better ones!

We were non competitive in that second half, kicking accurately would have got us a decent lead which we may have been able to hold onto. But we are just a bad team, that simple, not hard enough, too regimented and boring, poor skills, no pace, bad selectors.

Game was well and truely lost in that 2nd quarter. Should have been 5 or 6 goals up. Intensity totally lacking. Back to being totally soft. What is wrong with these guys?

Must recruit midlfielders. Our midfielder were absoulutely pathetic today. I can not believe Dangerfield continues to spend the majority of the game in the forward line when we are so weak and soft in the midfield. Van Berlo should definately not be captain next year. What has happened to VB, he is no where near the player he was a couple of years ago. I know he has always been overated on this board but he is nothing more than an average AFL player at the moment.

He's right tho. Pretty sad when you can't trust any of your players 30 metres out. Of all the disappointing efforts in recent times, this is right up there.

Not just the goal kicking. One club had a player out there going back with the flight, taking big relieving marks, breaking away and sparking things when it was needed - talking about Newman. What did VB give us? Not even the hint of a spark. I see no evidence to suggest he will be any sort of asset to us on-field as a captain.

Brings us back to the Carlton loss in round 4, back then we kicked ourselves out of the game together with today and last week.

Back to square one I believe.

So frustrating when a Crow gets taclked around the nuts which makes the handball **** up and either fall straight to the ground or go to the opposition. Yet when we get the opposition in a tackle, they can fire out a handball through congestion to the perfect position for a team mate.

Spot on about the midfield. Vince and McKay are not doing enough for the qualities they possess and Dangerfield isn't in there often enough. VB I'm afraid just isn't that good.

I would like to see the Vince and Dangerfield roles reveresed next week where Danger spends all of his time in the middle, and Bernie does more forward line work to shake a tag. Won't happen though.

still racked up a lot of the ball but has too many deficiencies in his game. i don't even think hes that hard at it.

Bad Kicking is bad football.... unfortunately bad kicking for goal has cost us the last two games.
