And also, if the muppet doesn’t understand that Jas did put himself on the line in his attempt at a comeback then he should just slink away back to oblivion.

And some people gave this guy votes in the POTY!

It's inspirational in the sense that you can have a setback and overcome it to some extent, however that's not brave.

Brave is putting yourself on the line when you don't have to.
Yeah, brave is something like dragging injured people you have never met before out of a bombing site when you have burns to 60% of your body.

Now THAT'S brave.

"Pressure is a Messerschmidt up your arse, playing cricket is not." Keith Miller

I'll go on record and state right now that there will be nothing "brave" about Majak's return to football either when it hopefully occurs, yet you wait for the cyclone of bullshit that will descend upon this place.

Like any of us give a shit about the coin toss. Do you pay attention to it or are you coming back to your seat with a couple of beers ?
Give it back to the umpires to prevent any potential for hurt feelings in Future
Because its part of the game which you are being paid to comment on. It would only have taken 5 minutes to research her background/ story

Dunno why anyone would care to research her background. Did she cure cancer or something? Invent a better mousetrap? Ended world hunger?

It would kind of be insulting if you did do something great to be given a token coin toss for a footy game.

Half these commentators can't even get our players correct when calling the game and we want to make their lives even more confusing by researching the coin tosser.

She is being USED by a virtue signalling organisation.

AFL/Swans: Look at the person in the wheelchair, she has very little to do with football, but just look at how virtuous we are. Have we elicited the required level of empathy now? Are you emotionally engaged? Please view these products during the commercial break.

Maybe this virtue signalling organisation may put an end to the coin toss other then the umpire in a virtue signalling statement

People are stupid mate. Capitalism requires it.

I wish the lady well and it's good to see her have a productive life, but she's isn't in any way worthy of being hoisted up on some pedestal, especially by something as corporately crass as the contemporary AF ****ing L.

When Maj returns to footy it will be extremely brave 99.9% of the population know what happened. Would be very easy to hide away and never be heard from again. The day or night he enters a footy field all eyes will be on him, that's "brave".

Then of course once footy is over he can't start on the reason he's here- to assist others.

Brave is putting yourself on the line when you don't have to.

You should look up the definition of brave.

I don't need to look it up mate. I have seen it.

OK, but you didn’t invent the word or it’s meaning.

It means ready to face or endure danger or pain.

All the people mentioned in the last few pages are the definition of brave.

Just to change topic, I’ve noticed a new word creeping into footy-speak via coaches and now commentators. Like sheep following each other. Watch this space. It will shit you by year’s end.

The word is ‘craft’. Marking contest; someone gets nudged off the ball too easily. ‘Player A needs to be better at his craft’.

Already shitting me to tears.

Can someone point out to this muppet that he obviously has no idea what Jason did that fateful night.
Wasting your time mate. If we had social justice warriors (a wank term I know), Snake would be the anti version of it. He gives no credit to someone if in his mind they are unworthy, regardless of arguments put to him.

It is what it is.

I think you'll find that Snake does find that what Jason did that night brave, but doesn't find him recovering enough to play AFL brave.

Getting wheeled out to the middle of the SCG is a painful and dangerous act these days? I must have missed that memo.

Credit for what? Surviving? It's a human instinct that most of us have.

I now want a Kraft dinner.

The way ground security maniacally protects the centre square and given how dreadful the surface of that ground is, it's a wonder they let a wheel chair anywhere near the middle of the SCG. The only danger to her would have been if security didn't get the memo.
