Because he / she doesn’t barrack for Collingwood. So they come in and antagonise looking for reaction.
Our board has always been kind to visitors.

Because if its Collingwood that is his / her third true love (after Mick and anyone named Cloke)
that’s some toxic abusive relationship going on there. It’s actually very sad.

Congrats to Brad Hardie.

When he was on, he was some player.

Those early days particularly he was such a good defender.

Odd at times, but really staunch when he was playing well.

Buckley says" I am now an enemy in his eyes.

Malthouse responds, "I would never regard myself as an enemy of Nathan Buckley."

Of course Malthouse could have said "I would never regard Nathan Buckley as an enemy"

I listened to Bucks on SEN, and l sort of cringed at the way Bucks was explaining his relationship with Mick. l thought the platform (morning radio) straight after the HOF night, had Bucks going to a place that he really didn't need to, and the blacklash was going to be obvious. I was surprised Bucks "vented" on radio.
Well done and congrats to MM, he will always be a Collingwood premiership coach, and well loved and respected by all at the Pies.

Really??

Ask Eddie about how well loved Mick is after Eddie saved his coaching career only to have Mick trash him and the club in the media at every opportunity.

The phrase 'rose coloured glasses' applies here I believe.

I was there in 1958, 1960, 1964, 1966, 1970, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1990, 2002, 2003, 2010, 2011 - thanks everybody :)

Buckley's not a liar... he couldn't get up there and sing MM's praises if he didn't really mean it. Some people can talk through the skin of their teeth but Buckley can't and I can't either. Sounds like he was put on the spot to offer his thoughts and replied honestly and maybe got lead down a path he didn't need to go. It would have been hard to shut up shop when the flavour of the moment was Mick so he felt obliged to speak and unwittingly stuck the boot in with sheer honesty when he probably didn't go in there planning to do that.

Although there will probably be fallout it's refreshing to hear someone tell it how they really feel...

1970, 79, 90, 02, 03, 10, 11. for me - so much pain with a leavening of joy.

Son's first live match was the '90 GF with my sister and I.

10 was one out of the box - really odd year but so sweet in the end.

As for the rest . . misfortune in 70 and 79 the scum got incredibly lucky twice.

02 and 03 were AFL sanctioned.

Last year was shades of '10.

There is 100 souv shops in Oakleigh run by greeks... and the best souv is sold by the Charcoal Chicken in Atherton Street next to the pizza shop which is run by a nice Asian dude.
Chips in a souvlaki are a no no. who thought up this monstrocity

Three-time AFL premiership coach Mick Malthouse has revealed he tried to reach out to Nathan Buckley two years ago when his AFL coaching career was in jeopardy, but said he never received a response.

Hahaha seriously? That’s what you take from me calling out Nathan’s BS? Wow.

This thread is meant to be appreciation for the effort, achievement and great career of Mick Malthouse. He did great things for Richmond, Footscray, West Coast, Collingwood and Carlton. Won finals with all four clubs he coached.

Now for Collingwood, Malthouse took us to finals what 8 seasons outta 12. That phenomenal. Instead of praising his hard work and skill in this thread, those with a bais toward Buckley come on here to be negative.

Then when I counter your negative attitudes on malthouse, giving you a different perspective on Buckley’s tenure (and actually a more accurate account) and don’t toe the party line, you all claim foul and play the victim. Just like Nathan did on radio today.

Trust me mate Collingwood since I was born. And when people, ungrateful supporters, take their venom out on Malthouse - the guy who dragged us up from a wooden spoon and carry on like Buckley is Jesus - I call out the BS. You can’t take a tunnel visioned approach to MM and then not use the same criteria to asssess Nathan.

What Nathan said this morning was selfish, egotistical and not in the best interests of Collingwood. You can’t sugar coat it. The day after MM is inducted in the hall of fame he decides to unload? Wtf?

Nathan’s focus should be 100% on winning the 2019 premiership. And today took his eye massively off the prize. How bout ya spend more time implementing a red time strategy and less time talking drivel on the radio Nathan... cause that would be in the best interests of Collingwood ... thanks babe!
