Thanks for the well wishes, you're very galant in defeat (although really, I don't think ANYONE won tonight except for a couple of individuals on field). Very messy game, but it's good to come out with four points.

Johnson, Tarrant, Wakelin, Clement all produced. Didak showed his usual glimpses of class, was just unable to put the icing on it.

Jericho's goal showed a fair bit of poise and class, I was knocking back a few brewskis so maybe my recollection is a little off, but I didn't see a whole lot of him after half-time? Still, a very promising young player for your lot.

Thanks again, and good luck to your mob next week as well.

i was on the edge of my seat the whole game!

my voice is pretty shattered from roaring at the umps in the first half :/ was terrible! they were so inconsistent in their decisions but consistent in their stupidity

crows really had me worried when you got that last goal cause you were so much better in getting it from the centre - it felt like we were going to lose!

but all in all a win is a win, despite how badly the skills were at times

richie cole was a highlight for me but some of his disposal was shocking - reminds me of the fumbles and errors benny johnson used to make and now hes turned into a star this year so fingers crossed he can help richie with things

Its about time!!!

When is Buckley coming back? What's wrong with him is it still his Hamstring? Good win last night now we just have to build it from here!! Next week we got Kangaroos we should get up and just take it game by game!
From coming to a Grand Final contender to this is pretty disappointing i wanna see Collingwood the team to beat again, so guys pull ya fingers out ya A$$!!! and start winning more often!

I haven't seen much of Adelaide this year. I know Collingwood have played as bad as last night for most of the year but have Adelaide? That was a very poor quality game to watch from the stands. I imagine it was the same on TV. Lots to be concerned about for both sides. Great to eek out an ugly win when you are 1 and 7 but unless they can get senior players back soon it's curtains for both team with little positive to come out of the season.

Anyway, thanks for your graciousness in defeat.

Yup... we've been awful. The fact our only two wins were the Richmond match where Spud got gobbed on and the Showdown where Port were horribly undermanned says it all.

We've had a few injuries and suspensions here and there, but at the end of the day many of our senior players - especially Andrew McLeod - have been underperforming and on last night's showing it looks like it's going to get even worse before it gets better.

Well done Pies. Unfortunately you still have the wood over us, even with Buckley & Burns missing. Having the only decent forward on the ground (Tarrant) & solid defence was the difference. Can't see you guys making the finals, but expect you won't finish anywhere near the bottome, just missing out on finals action with probably around 9 wins.
