I was in the category of hoping we wouldn’t regret not taking Caddy.
I was there on Saturday night and I don’t have the feeling what so ever now, regardless of how good Caddy gets we have a star on our hands.

The kid is a mixture of Darcy Moore and Weitering.
Now the debate might be over the years, why did the dons take Caddy when O’Sullivan was there

Caddy looks very very good at times and will have a good career. Dont think he will be dominant but should be a consistant 50 goal a year goal kicker.

I'm happy with the trade regardless as they are comparable talents and we got Mannagh out of it.

Moore and Weitering are some great reference points. I also see some other great qualities in there. For instance, he has an attacking flair that neither of those players quite play with - watch the way he flies for his marks and the way he gets forward to set up attacking efforts. Really cool.

Must everything you say be something contrarian or negative? Such boomer energy (this coming from a 35 year old).

Legends are how I would classify them. Superstar is slightly hyperbolic, but honestly, who cares? Go touch grass.
Some of you really need to look up contrarian.
I asked a question.

Albeit possibly negative due to a silly comment.
No apologies.

No apologies.

Of course there's no apologies, because you have no self-awareness...and this isn't your first offence, and likely won't be your last.

Unlike you however, I recognize that this thread is about Connor and his fantastic achievement after 3 games - not about either of us.

It offers nothing, so I'm just going to ignore you moving forward.

See ya.

Okey mete.

Just heard his interview with Dwayne- speaks as impressively as he plays.
We have a beauty here.

Early days, no pressure, but future captaincy woukld not be implausible.

Thought that on draft night too. Spoke so eloquently, and clearly has a good head on his shoulders. Loved how he ran off from a club legend in Sel, to go and hug Phoenix Gothard (his best mate) who'd just got drafted to GWS.

Seems a really caring, thoughtful and hard-working kid. Definitely all the qualities required for future captaincy.

I absolutely love the way he had interviewed since the draft. He'll be very good at handling the media in future at least

You could tell draft night that personality wise he was a tight fit for Geelong.

Someone mentioned Caddy earlier and to me it is not one or the other.

Geelong were just never picking Caddy IMO.

Caddy would have been a guy expecting to play from day 1 and as a player he fits somewhere between Jezza and Ollie Henry so not a need structurally for us at the moment.

Addition Hamingja: You could tell draft night that personality wise he was a tight and RIGHT fit for Geelong.

Agree with these observations and sentiments whole heartedly ShadowCat: in regards to Connor which very much stood out to me at time. This kid is 'all class' in every aspect of his life and for someone so young he's just an amazing pick up for Catters. 👏

I recently worked with someone who knows the O'Sullivan family - said they're incredibly well respected among the Albury community, and that Connor was a model citizen at school. Definitely a potential future leader at the club.

You could tell on draft night, when he was arguably more excited for his best mate getting drafted than for himself, that he had very good character.

Connor's mum (not sure, maybe other family also) are members of the Geelong Cats fans FB page

So definitely a family that's investing themselves in the greater club environment

Unpolished but genuine. Really resonates a possible Blitz type that will be seen to play where ever is needed. I hope Caddy works out for the Dons..they wanted him and payed a price. Happy with the kid we have and Mannagh is a bonus

How good is this kid! Looks so confident out there.

Must be favourite for the rising star at this stage!
He'd probably need Ashcroft to get injured but he's up to his eyeballs in it at this point.
