I have been an admirer of Daniel from the moment we picked him up. His flair and football nous seemed to be beyond his years.....but now I am wondering if that 'flair' was and is an excuse to not put himself in harms way when it is his turn to 'go'.

He's more annoying than soft. He and Lids would be the ones who would benefit most from this Leading Teams program if we did it, which I think we definitely should seeing how well it worked for Geelong and the Doggies.

Correct me if I'm wrong but did we not use a similar system when the idea (individual ownership) was in it's infancy? I agree with your post in any case.

Not sure if he is soft, just don't think he works hard enough off the ball and therefor doesn't get enough of it.

He needs to realize that he won't get the ball unless he puts himself into position and demands it.

anyone that stands up to barry hall is not soft, he is just lazy as IRock has stated.

such a frustrating player, he has talent coming out of his ass.

did nothing in his two games this year. really disapointing to see another player pissing his career away because he doesnt know how to work hard.

yes he is soft. Saw him shit his dacks on the Richmond forward flank v Melbourne and pull out. I dislike this lazy bugger immensly and think we could have done far better.

the most overrated player on the list x factor you have to be kiding

:)A huge disappointment in my eyes!!!
I have been calling for his inclusion on a weekly basis for three years ... understatement to say he hadn't grasped his chances this time 'round!!!
Seems destined to play himself out of a meaningful AFL career.
Gotta work a lot harder!!!
Back to the Burgers this week!!! His efforts were simply not of an AFL stanadrad and would be a poor example to teammates to have him srvive the axe this week.

Totally agree Goldie. Sat night was just not good enough. When he went for that spekky I could have jobbed him. Weaver gave me the heads up to check him out when he was first drafted and I was seriously impressed. He's been the love child of these boards for 2 years but sorry, in terms of attitude and desire to success the dreaded JON is light years in front. I feel another Alex Gilmour coming on.

I remember reading pre-season that he was doing heaps of extra work off the track with Cotch... Dont think that he isn't trying or working, just something is missing!

He isn't soft.

He's simply overrated.

He's only a good ordinary footballer until he realises he has 21 other mates on the park to work for and with.

All the tools, not the brain
.

Agree PHX, was even doing stupid things when he first started with the Burgers.
Is a renowned 'brain-fader'
