I'd be concerned about the list management of your club tbh. TDK, NWM and Reid all on huge contracts. Doesn't strike me as responsible.

Nas has to sign first! Who knows what is actually going on behind closed doors and the actual details of any deals.

Also I hope Reid stays at the Eagles. It is awful going through this uncertain period with Nas.

I suspect that if we delist Barnett it will be an indication of our interest in CDT.
It may also indicate that he is a complete spud and we have realised we burnt a fairly high draft pick on an unproven ruck and may be reluctant to do it again for a much higher price. Not that I think CDT will be a Barnett type fail but I imagine it will give them pause about spending pick 1 or 2 on a ruck who isn't a Nic Nat level ruck.

I would love to trade Liam Ryan . Apparently there is interest
Moneyball logic . He is older so more likely injury prone . Was my favourite player once but its time to trade him out if we can .

A bit the same, love him being at the club but we have to learn from past mistakes of holding onto players to long or being sentimental'ish with players.

We aren't taking CDT. His mummy and daddy don't want him leaving Victoria.
See, this is where I reckon we have to be hard nosed and back ourselves in to win young hearts and minds.

He could stamp his feet and hold his breath 'til he is blue in the face about coming to West Coast, but I reckon a couple of seasons being matey with Harley and having the boys 'round him could change attitudes.

He is the EXACT player we trade if we are serious.

Has currency, is still young enough to appeal to a contender, sellable to a club in the window.

We should be putting up the For Sale sign as soon as we can.

Safe to say that won't bother the club. Sure, he's a Metro boy and we don't normally draft those types for that reason but we have a number of Victorian players and coaches at the club now.

Depends entirely on what we are selling him for.

First Round picks will probably go up to pick 30 this year which also means second round picks don't commence until pick 31.

So exactly what type of pick package would you want for a contracted Liam Ryan in a shallow draft?

I think the answer is more that others would pay and less that he is worth to us. But, you only need to find one sucker

I can see us debating who goes number 1 or 2, Dursma or CDT.

Also see a scenario where Grilj slips and us picking him with the Hawks pick 10. Just need Melbourne to do us a big favour 🙏

Can't wait for November

Low chances, but i hope we're throwing our hat into the NWM ring, and doing it seriously. Even with the Harley money, we can frontload a long contract and it won't hurt us. That would be a 90s WCE thing to do.

Expecting that to fail of course, but then finding a way to get him to choose Adelaide, and giving them pick 2 for Curtin, which they can ontrade. Curtin is a better version of Dursma, and already 2 years in the system and no go home factor, so have pick #1 for Sharp, or to split (its a draft with a flat top 6-8 players). I doubt we will get a better scenario driven opportunity for Curtin.

Jacob Blight? It's being suggested we could be interested in the draft board. Hasn't met the trigger for another deal allegedly. Thoughts?

also

Who knows anything about Dale Sutherland from Perth Colts. Has been added to the State Combine along with Blake Kelly and Leon Kickett.

Jon Ralph says Hawthorn should offer us pick 10 and Josh Weddle for HR. And thats it. That will get the deal done for a $1.5 - 2 million dollar a year player. What a bunch of jokers.
Up there for one of the worst takes of the year and there’s been some pretty bad ones😂

Just getting him off the books . Its a gamble once they get older . We have had a shocking run with older players on the park . I think he is unrestricted next year but if he has injuries no one will want him . So any 2nd round pick will do

Saw Sutherland love in the 21s vs 18s did not rate him at all but obviously someone does.
