Thanks for your support of Jack Carbine Chaos - don’t ever for one minute think that players family and friends dont read what people write - your support of Petch whether good, bad or tongue in cheek never went unappreciated
Thanks, mate.

Gutted that it's over for Petch here but loved the journey and he brought me a lot of highlights personally.

It's a good reminder for all of us that what we write, positive and negative, can impact players. I forget all too often.

Plus if my job has taught me anything - everyone needs an advocate. Everyone. Keep fighting the Harry B fight WA footy mad

Wouldnt be surprised if Carlton had a look at Petch.

I think losing Ryan would be bad for the club. Just seems a symbolic player that everyone loves playing with
Ryan's kind of the last symbol left standing? Wondering/waiting for Cripps to announce?
I'm on the fence with Ryan, could be way wrong but gives me the impression he drinks a bit of bathwater, or eats too much figjam? I admit he's dones some amazing feats and been a great contributor to the club. But more often lately seems to do lame-brain things, trying to be mr. magic, instead of just keeping it real and the team thing. Happy to be proved wrong if he stays on.

Great to see the clean out begin, they don't waste any time. Hunt probably saw the writing on the wall or was given his options (depth/Wafl) and fell on his own sword?
Petch was given the news, along with the other two, as many expected.

Cal Jamieson must be laughing that he lasted 6 years on an AFL list. Loch Rawlinson must really resent the fact hes not 200cm
Was very lucky to he this last deal as long as it was. Great bloke, had the athletic ability and wasn’t a bad footballer but his body just let him down. Wish him all the best.

Who is Advocating for Barnett?

Don’t really want to lose Ryan but if he does want to chase the extra years at the Saints, then we should be offering to pay a chunk of his salary to improve the deal. Saints may need the cap space now.
Decent player or a late first.
Otherwise I don’t see us getting anything worth losing him for.

I think the other difference between both locations is opportunity post football.. Perth is a boom/bust market whereas there is a lot more commercial and corporate opportunities back in Melbourne and there is 10 vs 2 clubs in terms of post playing opportunity in terms of working in a coaching/managerial role at afl level
I never understood this idea. Everywhere is boom/bust. Victoria has been going through a recession last few years while Perth has been booming. Was the opposite when Perth had a recession in 2017.

I reckon Chad Warner is back on the table.

WCE OUT: Pick 1, BWilliams, Owies (both with salary)
WCE IN: Warner x 2, Ladhams

CARL OUT: Curnow
CARL IN: Pick 1, Williams, Owies

SYD OUT: Warner x 2
SYD. IN: Curnow

Carlton getting really screwed there.
Pick 1 and 2 spuds for Curnow.

Wouldn't have thought so.

What do you think Curnow is worth? They have a tight cap, losing their ruck and FF and replacing them with a ruck/FWD with contract paid. Owies actually SOMEHOW played decent footy for them the year he left, 60 goals over his last two years.

Jamo is in the same territory as Big Frase. Club legends for longevity. He'll be a dominant state league defender if he stays fit, hope he does.

Will be welcomed home at Claremont.
