Hard to say.

Zane Zakostelsky won the medal 2 years ago and went late to Brisbane.

Unsure what his form was like in the lead up to that though. Normally played as a KPD and got thrown into the ruck when Claremont's ruck couldn't play and absolutely dominated.

Didn’t Hamish Davis win the BOG in last years colts GF as well

About where would Sullivan Robey be expected to get picked at now?
The bolter, I would think that Sullivan goes in the top 15 in the first round and wouldn't be surprised if he zooms into the top 10, their would be a lot of recruiters who like him, would someone get him a lot earlier than projected? I can actually see that happening, "get your boy", that's the objective, sometimes you can pay unders and sometimes you can pay overs, clubs will do their due diligence and be prepared, the first round is going to see some interesting pick swaps and trade up scenario's to try and get their man, another thing, Sullivan wont be the only one in this first round that the attention will be gripping & thrilling.;)

Thats kind of bad news if we are planning to draft him and don't want other clubs interfering and bidding on him.

So long as he gets past the first 2 rounds it doesn’t matter as we can match with whatever pick we hold beyond that point

Hey Peptide Pig, its an interesting one isn't it? As always with these sought of things I think a fair bit has got out of control, I think we have said that his days as an inside midfielder are limited but that doesn't mean we want to offload him. Supporters, opposition supporters and media people will have their two cents worth on what we do with him but the cold hard facts are he is contracted to 2029, so, if another club wanted to trade for him some questions have to be seriously asked.

Would that club be willing to pay Jy's contract or would we be willing to pay a slice of his contract if traded, of course what we would be getting in return would have to be substantia or its not happening. We think that he could be a very big part of what we are assembling, but on a wing. We want to get Colby, George and Finn into the centre square as soon as possible, then their is LDU, Luke Parker and Harry who will probably just have stints in there as we need to get our forward line to be the right mix.

As for trade value its quite a mixture, some would sell him for a bag of chips but then others want something reasonable, I think that's fair, he's a dual best & fairest and is a good player, does he have his limitations, yes, but most players do. On our board the higher percentage is of the opinion that we need to get these gun youngsters into the middle, now is the time and Jy can still contribute, just in another part of the ground.

Is he stiff to not be getting midfield minutes? As I've said above, the honest answer is probably no, maybe the odd quarter but as a team player his value in our team is of a high point, he is of the age that we are looking at player wise, his experience, his fitness has always been of a high standard and doesn't mind putting his body on the line. So I think he probably stays unless a team offers us something good but it only takes one team to go all out doesn't it?:)
Looks like you'll be keeping him because no one would pay much for him.

I hadn't paid much attention to Starcevich before and i wasn't overly enthusiastic about getting him. But having paid more attention to him this finals series it is a clear that he is a massive upgrade on the likes of Cole and Duggan (even as those two guys have been loyal servants). I don't think he will massively change the trajectory of things for us but if we can get him for not much it probably will help mitigate the size of losses in the next few years and is worth doing.

Two time best and fairest? Jesus. Shows how bad north have been.

Similar to Liam Baker this year for us. A nice little player but he has no place being top 5 in a good team.

Let's hope we get the extra list spots and ability to pre list

I think that’ll be the minimum we get and there won’t be much, if any, pushback from the other clubs. The extra rookie spots aren’t detrimental to anyone else. And whilst Evans, Williams and Walley have potential none of them would likely be bid on inside the first two rounds so it’s not like we’d be getting someone like Annable for free

Whether we receive a priority pick or picks and where they land if we do will be of most interest to the rest of the league

Anyone opposed to offering pick 2 to Swans this year for Warner? Haven't heard much on this

Could make sense for both clubs:
  • WCE get A grade mid and keep picks 1 and 15
  • Swans get pick 2 for player who may leave at end of 2027, then have picks 2 and 9 which can use trading for Petracca & Curnow

You would imagine tigers or dons take him. I can't see him lasting to the suns pick but it will mean someone else slides
I would be shocked if the tigers take Aidan with any of their picks, they picked all their talls in last years draft, the bombers maybe but they need good midfielders and if Zack leaves then they need an elite midfielder + at least a couple of very promising mids to complement their centre square team, the same goes with CDT, if the tigers pick either of these players I will be gobsmacked.

Yep. Good.

We need mids. And tons of them.

We don't necessarily need KPP. And we sure as shit don't need CDT
Four mids though? I tend to agree that one of our picks this year will be a KPP.

No.

We get him for “free” in two years.

Maybe underselling Baker a tad methinks.

4 top 6 finishes in a row for Richmond.
Not elite, but he's better than nice IMO.

Yes, we’ve heard it a lot

My answer is always, why on earth would Sydney make a win now move by going all in for a 29 year old Charlie Curnow and then turn around and trade their 3rd best player in the same deal? It makes no sense for them.

They have pick 8, 2026 F1, 2027 F1 and countless role players they can trade for more assets, they aren’t going to ship Chad Warner out after he recently just re-signed and Chad also wouldn’t want to come to a 1 win team seeing as he….. recently re-signed instead of coming here.
