It's just a circle-jerk of repeating each others' opinions as 'news'.

There's no actual substance to it.

If the Vic clubs genuinely believe Reid will go home this year or next, then we will get a huge offer this year from the Bombers.
They have no competition this year, none of the hawks/Pies/Cats/etc are even remotely close to being able to afford him, but next year they might have assets.
Bombers have 2 first rounders this year and have the capacity to get another if they really have to.

They have to offer something huge to get us to let him go early, just to make sure they are the frontrunners.

I often waver back and forth on Harley. Like everyone from the East reckons he's gone even though he said he had no problems being drafted to West Coast and ASKED for number 9, everyone East reckons he's gone even though he posted that spoof video on Instagram (which was quickly deleted) by the Kick it Forward boys mocking Sam McClure saying 'tHeY'Re nOt gOnnA pIcK hIm' and doing a massive laugh into the camera.

I just want the season to start already so people got something else to talk about, this shit's been annoying me already and the season proper ain't even started yet. I could care less whether he goes or stays, I was 18 in 07 when Juddy and Cuz left within a week of each other, the club ain't gonna fold because of him leaving. It's just all the chatter about it that gives me the shits.

If Reid goes that is a bummer but if we can get 3 first rounders for him like North did with Horn Francis i can live with it.

I started worrying after reading that his girlfriend lives in Victoria. That is not a good sign.

If he is giving the club signals that he intends to leave then we should be open to listenning to offers at the end of this year (if we get any) that are in the ballpark of three first rounders. If he is going then lets admit that to ourselves rather than be in denial about it, look for the best possible deal and be open to the idea that the best time to trade him might be at the end of this year (if we get an offer we like) instead of waiting for him to come out of contract.

All the journals have said they have no mail indicating he will becoming home this year or even after his first contract and just that he will come home at some stage.

The only thing that has been used is Vic clubs think he is Gettable at the end of 2026.

It’s crazy how obsessed the Vic media are. Player movement creates clicks and when now 8 teams + the Eagles + Swans now think they are a chance it’s not going to stop. Imagine this time next year if he is still with the Eagles and not signed on….

Yeah see how he goes this year. Some have him at an early number 1 while others say top 5 so right around where our pick will most likely be.

I liked his game on GF in the futures game especially when he went into the midfield 2nd half.

Another Gippsland boy so he would have plenty of mates over here already.

You responded to my comment and I wasn't speaking about end of next year. If he doesn't extend this year the Vic clubs will be asking the question this year, and this year if he does go we're getting godfather offers.

I think clubs in the east would be talking to his manager all the time about his stable of players. As they would with all player managers. And they would be asking about Reid. And the media would hear from those clubs what Reid's manager is saying in response. I think their opinion that he is likely to leave at the end of his contract is probably based on what Reid's manager has said to those club's in the east when they have inquired.
