It's actually pretty amazing someone can write an article about the Eagles 'EXPRESSING INTEREST' in wanting to sign a bloke. Even just exploring such a move means we're trying to get creative.

That's the thing, the article says that our landing Bont as a free agent would affect our compo pick for Oscar.

So, instead of Bont costing us nothing draft-wise, it would end up costing us quite a bit, because instead of getting something like pick 2 for Oscar, our compo would be significantly less.

This is my nightmare scenario.

I'd take 5-6 guys in an open draft before Sharp. Warner for a single pick would be fine, and there's no way we are getting Aller. There are clubs well in front of us for his services.

Who do you think is firming for #1? Or who would you prefer over Sharp?

I don't really watch them, just the clips in Twitter. And i don't like that witch Caro at all. That said, if you are a fan of AFL and want to hear what is hapenning across the broad AFL landscape where else would you go? The local media are useless. Too focussed on trivial local news.

No bloody thanks if it's for anything other than dalary. If that means we'd miss out on the Oscar compensation pick, then no thank you

31yr old in the twilight of his career with nothing to play for who suddenly has to travel more than any other team each fortnight. Can really see his performance going downhill fast.

Would rather keep pick 2 in the hope we've got a 10yr player at the club, not a gun for 2 seasons whilst we drown on the bottom of the ladder.

I used to watch everything but it was just pissing me off so i stopped cold turkey on them all a few years back

I see the twitter clips too but I make a point of not watching the shows, it's just angers me and it's frankly pretty toxic. 90% is just stories about some other journo who said something about someone on one of the other shows. It's all crap

I'm a big fantasy guy so get all my info from fantasy pods and pretty much from this board. Do like the Hard Ball Gets guys aswell
