Chesser last played a great game at 16 years old almost to the day of turning 16. He has done nigh on **** all in 6 years. Nice kid, injury and covid interrupted development followed by injury ruined development once drafted. Had the attributes and the skills, but will never be an AFL player now. You just can't miss that long and pick up the speed of the game and where to be. He can't do it at WAFL level after 4 years ffs.
Keeping a spot on a list is holding back chances for others. Totally agree
Not even chopping it up at wafl level!!

Looking forward to seeing how many posts you can get to without doing anything other than potting Chesser.

Do you rate him?
Why do you care
Did you give him the oversized jumper or are you his brother ha ha

No but I am the guy who actually sh*t in your cornflakes that time, you clearly thought it was Chesser.

Don't care what he does in anyone's cornflakes
He's a crab on our afl list.
Why you so uptight, did he shit in yours
I comment on his footy,

Dylan Alexander just dropped his latest mock draft, he doesn't have Sharp in his first round, reckons he doesn't project as well as other draftees, I've heard this from a couple of other "draft guru's" as well. Does anyone else feel this way?

He's got a hard on for CDT, for some reason.

rookieme and zerohangar have sharp in the mid teens.
ESPN has Sharp in the top couple cant remember exactly where

Its all over the place atm

All the evidence is that he won't cut it at AFL level but i think it is pretty unlikely Chesser gets chopped this year. How many players can you realistically replace via the draft in one year, especially with shallow draft pool?

We have our own first 4 picks (or did we trade one of those out in the Barrass trade?), Hawthorns two picks and maybe a pick for Allen coming. Lets say we will bring in 5 or 6 new faces.

And we have Sheed and McGovern retiring. Allen looks like he is going. Hunt and Cole uncontracted and the club in no hurry to offer them an extension making you think they might want to move them on to create spots in the 22 for younger players. And players like Jamieson and Barnett in the WAFL who will be in front of Chesser in the queue of players most likely to get chopped. Thus, i think it is likely he survives for one more year.

Apparently we are interested in sean darcy and erasmus.

Kellys new contract is worth 1.6mill over two years as we have heaps of cap space and need to meet the mininum TPP requirements.
if we are paying kelly 800k per year then this club has lost the plot

Would've thought there's enough players on the list to spread the load rather than over-pay Kelly.

I seriously doubt he's on anywhere in near $800 000 TBH.
We have probably been doing it for a few years now, to the point where theres just very little more salary to front-load for our older players.

Almost have to start overpaying kids, and risk them leaving for another club back in their home state after say 2-3 years of a front loaded contract, leaving when the contract is only paying small money near the end.
