• Deven Robertson (Brisbane) has agreed to join West Coast and will be signed on to the rookie list after being delisted by Brisbane

• Oscar Allen joins Brisbane as a FA - West Coast receive Pick 2 as compensation
• Liam Ryan and a 2027 R3 pick has been traded to St Kilda for a 2026 R2 pick
• Campbell Chesser has been traded to Carlton for Pick 41
• Jayden Hunt announces retirement
• Jack Petruccelle, Callum Jamieson and Loch Rawlinson not offered new contracts

The club has to have it in their head that they can turn at least 2 of McCarthy, Hough and Ginbey into starting midfielders.....

Plus there's Bo Allan who has yet to show he can be a genuine mid. Whether that be as an fast athletic winger or not, he's shown a lot more in defence.

I just honestly don't think Starc even with no concussion history moves the needle at all. He'll look like Tom Cole

Unless the club has nigh on no interest in at least 2 of Evans, Banfield or Williams they have to delist a couple of players with the promise to move them to the rookie list as I genuinely believe at least 2 of them will be bid on.

Dogs have shown a lot of interest in Williams in particular.

They’ve got the rest of a premiership side to keep together (bar Ah Chee) and they’re bringing in Allen and Draper, surely they can’t afford to match our ridiculous offer.

You’re most likely correct but our offer probably had to be ridiculous to lure him away from a potential three peat and to a one win team. Our offer was never one to force Brisbane not to match, merely to get Brandon to agree to come.

They did want to retain him after all so it’s likely If Hawks for instance offered him a contract on slightly better money and years he might have still decided to leave and they probably would have matched.

There is so many different moving pieces between the two clubs this off season I doubt either one is looking to screw the other over. I’m confident the deal won’t be as simple as end of first for Starcevich if it’s even used at all.

Let’s just wait and see how it plays out Eaglevision. I get people being concerned with Clarke at the helm but the club got smashed for their incompetence last year.

There’s no way that criticism didn’t filter back to them.

I will give Pyke and Clarke the benefit of the doubt considering it was their first off season in charge and I hope they learned some valuable lessons from it.

Just listening to Pyke the other day on the radio already he was more assured in leaking the right info (we’ll look to move up and interested in pick 7) and we’re looking at Starcevich but won’t dilute compo for Allen (offered zero value on Starcevich)

I’m just happy we have 3 potential best 22-25 mature players coming to the club next year and will wait to see how we get it done before I melt.

As long as contract length or triggers protect us he’s a good acquisition. Judging by Pyke’s comments yesterday the contract will reflect his concussion concerns. Will be very interesting to learn contract length

I think it's stupid that anyone in the media thought we'd dilute the Oscar compo to sign Starc. It's also kinda stupid we'd offer up that freshly given first rounder when in reality we could be bad boys and use later picks or the damn psd.

All I can hope for now is that we pick Brisbane's academy players and they have to use that pick to match.

The fact we’ve already agreed to stump up this pick before the trade period even starts is mind boggling. Clarke obviously doesn’t understand the concept of negotiation.

We’ve got a good history with the Lions when it comes to trading.

Staker for Dalziell was a bit of a stinker but that was Voss after all, but the Yeo deal was in our favour, we got more than our fair share of value for the first given for Redden and Witherden only cost us a couple of fourth round picks.

I’m not saying we need to play nice but there not a club that have been massive campaigners to us such as Port, Geelong or Hawthorn.

I’m sure both clubs will work out a fair compromise.
