Round 1: 1, 2, 13

List Spots Available (39 of 48):
• Main list (33 of 38) - 5* (in: Starcevich, Young out: Allen, Ryan, Chesser, Hunt, Petruccelle, Jamieson)
• Cat A rookie list (5 of 8) - 3* (in: Robertson (pending), out: Rawlinson)
• Cat B rookie list (1 of 2) - 2 (out: Livingstone)

* Based on Dewar being upgraded after the maximum 3 years on the rookie list. Hutchinson may also have been upgraded but this isn’t confirmed - if it is we will have 4 main and 4 rookie list spots open

Matt Clarke wraps up the trade period - 6PR

It’s much more likely to be accidentally correct at least a couple of times, so this consistent track record of being wrong on every single player evaluation is really quite the sight to behold. Hats off to you for beating the odds I guess.
Yoiu’re still salty Junktime couldn’t back up his one great year… as I said he wouldn’t reach all Australian level again.

Righto mate, whatever you say.

Next you'll say thay, ol' fumbleballs Clarke wasn't physically pulled away and put into timeout after a pithy tongue lashing from consultant Phil because he couldn't close Matt Owies - please.
I enjoyed Phil’s stories always made me smile. Wish he would leave hore island and come back to entertain us once more.

Most of us would be upset Waterman got injured and missed most of the year.

You on the other hand are delighted about it.
Says more about you mate.

Following his AA blazer, Waterman’s played one half of a season before needing a shoulder reconstruction.

The fact you’re somehow crowing about that proving you justified in your obsessive relentless criticism is just mid boggling. Even by your standards of being a total campaigner on basically every topic.

Yeah not a world beater but played every week in a midfield that made a Prelim. In his prime (even though his real prime might be his first few years of his career)

Averages 20d 5t and 5c in some
Sub affected games. Did turn it over or got caught too many times. Percentages are low you find his replacement with that pick.
Agreed they’re unlikely to find his replacement at the pick but really that shouldn’t be what compensation is (if it even needs to exist at all).

Should soften the blow somewhat but if the compo is designed to effectively be 1:1 there’s really no point to the draft at all at a certain stage:

‘The bloke I swore black and blue wouldn’t even get a game in any other team made All Australian so now I’ve pivoted to yeah but he won’t do it again’.

You got me brother, I yield to your elite ball knowledge.

We can sign him as a delisted free agent onto the rookie list cant we?

No, but we can ask him not to nominate for the drafts and then sign him as an SSP rookie.

That’s the path GWS are taking with Laverde and Freo took with Sharp a couple of years ago.

The sacred creed was invoked, double or nothing.
Do it twice or it doesn't count.

If Dev is on the main list, it would currently only allow us to draft 3 players and put the 3 NGA's and Banfield on the rookie list.
This will be further complicated if we choose to match a Banfield or NGA bid meaning they'll occupy a main list spot.
We'll need to delist more players, which shouldn't be a massive problem. Cut Barnett and/or Owies early for example.
We can only match bids if we have the list spot available. So if we go in with 3 spots and draft 3 players we cant match any of the NGA or Banfield.

Its better for us to leave atleast 1 spot open for the draft then take Dev in the PSD if he wants to come here.

I’ve been visiting my grandparents in their 90s

Are we wetting the bed yet? I’m 9 pages behind

Not sure about wetting the bed but there are some skid marks in here already.
