Round 1: 1, 2, 13

List Spots Available (39 of 48):
• Main list (33 of 38) - 5* (in: Starcevich, Young out: Allen, Ryan, Chesser, Hunt, Petruccelle, Jamieson)

Snuck onto the Saints board, and they MUST sign Flanders, TDK, Silvagni, Humphrey, Ryan - while Steele and Marshall CANNOT be traded - but also they've retained NWM, Windhager and Wilkie...

At some point the salary cap runs out lads
feels like the saints are trying a hail mary to win a premiership under RTB.

none of those guys they are bringing in are solidified A-graders.
TDK may have potential of being an A-grader.
B-graders on A-grader money.

They're the ones ruining the game. 100%. AFL needs to change the collective bargaining clauses next time round to allow the clubs to trade a contracted player, if they want out, to the highest bidder and not the players choice.

Totally agree, just ridiculous all the power is in the clubs hands. The AFL needs a club to just stand up and say we are not trading you no matter how unhappy you are. You signed on and you either play here or don't play.
See how that goes down for these entitled lads.

So much activity with player movements, FA compensation picks and academy/ FS bids.

We need to get involved to help clubs get the balance of trade right and work our way up the draft board. Losing Ryan and Chesser is just more currency that we need move on. If we're passive we're going to lose out.

Which other job do you get paid 500k and get to dictate terms to your employer? I get it from the rookie pov but anyone over 22 should be happy playing anywhere. They should be grateful they’re actually on a list in the first place.

I come from a US background and when I started following AFL I though it was very weird that players nominated their intended club of choice, and then it was incumbent upon the club which owns their rights to work out a deal there. Like it's one thing if you want to go play closer to home but there are 9 teams in Victoria; if you want to be traded there then the club shouldn't have to bend over backwards to make sure you land at Richmond instead of a different club whose headquarters is 15 minutes away from Punt Road.

Bet we use him as part of the Starcevich trade as to try and justify the utterly baffling decision to trade pick 19 for him. Like we tried to do with Blowies last year.

Starcevich is a band 3 pick for Brisbane, then he'd be downgraded. Pick 38 down to whatever.

Dev is worth nothing. His AFL form has never been there.

Pick 35 for both.

Didnt know where to post it but i did my own version of mitch clearying after 6 weeks of our off season, Harley looks alittle bulkier especially in the arms, most are still overseas.

However. clay hall is shredded and razzo looks to have put on some significant size already.
Edit: ****in site kills the quality go check harry edwards insta story

Could just be the angle but Razzle looking pretty mean there, hoping he puts it all together.

Glad we've managed to pull this thread back on track with some shirtless photos of players doing work outdoors - always good to get a decent look at the lads rigs at this time of the year so we get the chance to scrutinise their appearance and judge their commitment to the cause.

Looks like he was in our academy back in 2021, along with Malakai Champion.

Is this gonna be another one that slips through our fingers?
Probably.
Just a question, regarding the new NGA rules, did I read correctly that as of 2026 clubs have access to NGA players for 3 years if the go undrafted so they can access these types of players for the work put in?

How do you even see this shit on IG? Has to be the worst social media platform, hands down. Doesn't exist on his profile, unless he deleted it.

Without them actually clarifying it properly, I assume it means they can stay with our NGA, they still go through the draft like normal but we retain the matching rights each year.

If it works this way then it would mean if Lawson Humphries had stayed in our NGA we could have matched the Geelong bid in 2023.
