2025 Draft Order

Current Draft Picks:
Round 1: 1, 2, 13
Round 2: 34, 41
Round 3: 53, 58 (These picks are in excess of available list spots so will be forfeited if we don’t consolidate our 2025 picks up the order or trade some for future picks)

List Spots Available (39 of 48):
• Main list (33 of 38) - 5* (in: Starcevich, Young out: Allen, Ryan, Chesser, Hunt, Petruccelle, Jamieson)
• Cat A rookie list (5 of 8) - 3* (in: Robertson (pending), out: Rawlinson)
• Cat B rookie list (1 of 2) - 2 (out: Livingstone)

* Based on Dewar being upgraded after the maximum 3 years on the rookie list. Hutchinson may also have been upgraded but this isn’t confirmed - if it is we will have 4 main and 4 rookie list spots open

* Matthew Clarke has stated we have 5 main list spots

Matt Clarke wraps up the trade period - 6PR

Not when that pick actually blows out to the 70s in a shallow draft.
🤣🤣 do you not understand that if 51 isn't used up in bid matching, it will be used well before the 51st kid is drafted because with the number of FS & Academy bids to be matched, the reduced DVI Points and halving of the Discount will see a need for clubs to use higher value (ie: more 2nd rounders) to match bids resulting in the remaining picks not blowing out. Eg: In 2024 a bid at pick 5 required picks 40, 42, 43 & 46 to match. This therefore moved every pick from 5 to 39 out by one spot. In 2025 that same bid would be matched with the same four 3rd rounders PLUS pick 19. Therefore any pick from 20 to 39 is unaffected and picks 41, 44, 45 47 and beyond all get used to draft someone between 2 and 4 picks earlier. The more bids are matched the earlier the remaining 3rd and 4th rounders (and some 2nd rounders) will be used.

How do you even see this shit on IG? Has to be the worst social media platform, hands down. Doesn't exist on his profile, unless he deleted it.

It’s a story bloke. Designed to last a fleeting 24 hours. Here for a good time, not a long time.

I heard the opposite, he's down to earth and very loyal. They said he'd probably stay wherever he was drafted.
They also thought he'd struggle at the highest level unless he changed his game style of waiting to be tackled, playing through it and disposing of it after being tackled
Hope you're right mate. He's one of us now, I wish him all the best

Which other job do you get paid 500k and get to dictate terms to your employer? I get it from the rookie pov but anyone over 22 should be happy playing anywhere. They should be grateful they’re actually on a list in the first place.
Disagree.

Those in the high level of their careers in the IRL world (comparable to +22yo in the AFL) can 100% dictate and decide where they want to work.
If you aren't happy in your current job, you shop around and accept a situation that works in your interest.

Jack Steele should have so much wining and dining from us that Swan Valley actually ends up with a grape shortage in the aftermath

Get it done . No questions asked

Fine with us going after him, but this is Jack Steele in 2025 we’re talking about. Have any of you even watched him the last couple years? Absolutely useless outside of stoppages and treats the ball like a bomb, there’s a reason the club he is / was the captain of wants rid of him.

I barely remember this happening last year, so when I heard about it again a couple of weeks ago, I thought I must have been missing something, because surely something this insane would make an impression.

But no, Norf really did trade their future first for 27 and Richmond's second this year. Pick 3/4 for two mid to late 20s picks.

Can a court appoint a football club a legal guardian?
NM did that to get Matt Whitlock who I really rated. 200cm, Coates TL U18 TOTY CHB that can play just as effectively up forward. Time will tell if it was a good decision.

Have you seen our midfield? If he can get the ball then he’s one up on everyone except Harley.

Would like to see us land two of Steele, mitchell, Shiel (rookie spot), Simpkin and Oliver. We would suddenly have some guys that can get 25+.

Didnt know where to post it but i did my own version of mitch clearying after 6 weeks of our off season, Harley looks alittle bulkier especially in the arms, most are still overseas.

However. clay hall is shredded and razzo looks to have put on some significant size already.
Edit: ****in site kills the quality go check harry edwards insta story

I have, that doesn’t mean we should be targeting every single player with the same skill set. Yeo and Robertson play the role Steele does, I do not want to see those 3 + Graham in the same team, we’d be the slowest team ever, not to mention how bad they all are skill wise.

But you also get the arse if your employer decides to move on. Which is where it differs.

Yeo is a half back now . Graham/Steele need to be that rotation.

Robertson I think should be treated more as depth then best 22 superstar.

I want Steele because ive given up on Yeo as a midfielder basically as I think the club has

How’s Yeo a half back? Ginbey, Starcevich, Hough, Baker, McCarthy are all comfortably head of him in those back pocket / HB roles, then there’s Allan and Greggo too.

I think we need another established midfielder too but they have to have some outside ability.

He is too broken physically to be anything else seems to be the noise from the club :(

Marshall has requested a trade to Geelong.

STK - Ryan
Geelong - Marshall
WCE - Geelong 1st or F1
Could also do this with Mitch Duncan on board now

STK - Ryan
Geelong - Marshall
WCE - Clohesy

Glad we've managed to pull this thread back on track with some shirtless photos of players doing work outdoors - always good to get a decent look at the lads rigs at this time of the year so we get the chance to scrutinise their appearance and judge their commitment to the cause.
Now we have a baseline to measure against when they come back from off season break 🤩
