Havent seen a lot of 66 lately.
NSW getting it all under control while Vic still struggling.
Vaccination rates sky rocketing, Australia over taking many first world countries and gaining fast on others.
SA hasn't had an outbreak or indeed a community case in many many months.
Halthcare hasn't failed.

Its been a tough time for the crazed one. He did try to redirect his rage against Morrison over stating how embarrassing the Subs deal was and how "the world" was laughing at us, but nobody outside a few sad Frenchies actually cares.
His side kick keeps regurgitating from his various interwebz feeds of tiny minority nut job conspiracy groups like they are a genuine threat, and will keep doing so, it makes him happy.
Even Old Rappy's overly concerned over analysis that nobody asked for has subsided.

Its over people. The end of the world has not come. Move onto the next thing that frightens you.
Funny how your over-the-top fears over the economy collapsing didn't happen. And at the same time we saved many/many lives. A good outcome for Australia

GPs, pharmacies join COVID booster shot program

COVID-19 booster vaccinations will be available from GPs and pharmacies from Monday for those who had their second jab six months ago.
Australia’s deputy chief medical officer Sonya Bennett said two doses are highly effective in preventing people from getting sick with COVID-19, but some studies have shown that immunity does tend to wane over time.

“For those people 18 and up who had a vaccine at least six months ago, we encourage you to make an appointment and get your booster dose,” Bennett told reporters on Sunday. “There is plenty of vaccine for all of us to get our booster.”
Australia passed a major milestone over the weekend of having 80 per cent of the national population aged 16 and over fully vaccinated.
But Bennett is urging everyone to get on board and be vaccinated. “COVID will be in the community in each and every area of Australia over time as we open up,” she warned.

“Everyone will be at risk of being exposed to COVID. The best way to protect yourself against diseases is to get vaccinated.” The South Australian Government announced on Friday that those in phase 1A of the vaccination rollout – including frontline workers and aged care and disability residents – are allowed to walk-in to state-run vaccination clinics to receive a third booster shot of the Pfizer vaccine.
The booster program will be extended to all South Australian from December 1 provided they have waited six months are receiving their second shot.
SA Health-run clinics will only offer Pfizer’s mRNA vaccine as a booster shot following approval from the Therapeutic Goods Administration last week.
Health authorities say it is safe for people who have previously received the AstraZeneca vaccination to receive the Pfizer vaccine as a third dose.

With Covid slowly diminishing this thread becoming a general chit chat thread?
I'd prefer that, but here in Canberra we opened schools last week and already 7 have closed due to new cases. This has got a while to play out yet.

Does anyone actually believe the case numbers from NSW? I find it incredulous that schools, for example, haven't been exposed to the extent they are here.

It's not really over though yet is it.

While things are promising due to high rate of vaccine and continuing caution, globally we're at the same mortality rate as we were in April 2020, it will now be how less developed nations handle it while the "free world" opens up.

Vax rates are going well, people have rightly so made their own choice as to getting the jab or not, as Bruce Buffer would say "it's time" to move on............or you can move to a little island and build a backyard bunker.

Hardly struggling..

At my hospital at least initially every ward was being used as a covid ward with only the burns unit in operation and trauma patients being redirected to other hospitals but now due to a drop in hospitsations and ICU , various covid wards are reverting back to GMU units which is a massive relief.

I've been busy lately, and this thread is a dumpster fire at the moment, in saying all this you wouldn't really know covid is around here at the moment , practically no restrictions other then masks inside which vanish in 2 weeks, concerts are starting up again, bars and pubs are packed. Cases are still steady but hospitisations are lower. Vaccines are working well it seems and the investment into our hospitals systems appear to be paying off with many thousands of lives saved, who would of thought?

Sounds like you've got not a lot to do mate? You need to come out of the closet, you're the biggest secret covid fetishist on here.

Stop worrying about Victoria , we are getting back to normal here , Dan's plans paid off and his ratings are skyrocketing now whilst the opposition libs are drink driving and crashing into houses.. so when are you able to stand at a bar in lil old Adelaide?

I think PapaG actually misses you🤣

Large regional areas in NSW with covid is the biggest concern at the moment.

I'd just like to remind you that in the last 18 months we've less than 10 days total in lockdown, we got to go to football games, pubs, clubs, restaurants etc all have been open and the impact on Adelaide life has been barely noticeable aside from masks and checking in, whereas family and friends who live in Victoria have described it as hell over there

So lame flex but okay 👍

It'll still be way down the list of things that can kill you in third world countries, and like all deaths in third world countries, the West doesn't really care.

I'm well aware of that congratulations but the two biggest cities in Australia have moved on and it's time for SA as well.

I just find it pretty amusing that Victoria is seen as the most conservative "socialist" "communist" regarding covid on here by a couple posters when SA is actually even more conservative.

Your obsession with Malbun flexing is the best thing about this thread.
Keep up the good work.

But due to covid those things up the list that kill people more than Covid will accelerate as their healthcare systems are already dysfunctional and covid pushes them off the ledge.. you still don't get it .. it's bizarre really.
