Should move the deadline back then, look what has happened overseas with less than optimum vax rates.

Most alarming is the fact that at last count just 57.5% of South Australia's Aboriginal people have received one dose of vaccine, while only 43.6% are fully vaccinated. Vaccination rates for young Aboriginal people is of greatest concern. And we are not just talking about remote communities here.

It's stating the obvious to say that the current Fed and SA government vaccination campaigns are just not properly targeted at the demographic areas of greatest concern and where normal social media and TV advertising is simply irrelevant.

Hard to understand why they are jumping the gun now after months of restrictions and border closures. Surely they should have waited until we actually reached vaccine coverage. It doesn’t bode well fir SA in my opinion.

I am getting concerned about that November 23 deadline in SA. We should be opening up to all of Australia except Victoria and the Vic/ SA border restrictions should not be lifted until the numbers in Victoria fall as they have done in NSW. To quote the headline in today's Monopoly Times Marshll's roadmap is as 'clear as mud' as it has over 30 different scenarios for home quarantine.

Another interesting stat is that the average age of children infected by COVID in Australia is 6 years of age. Vaccines have not yet been approved in Australia to cover this age band and they will not be available until 2022. As a consequence schools are likely to be a major source of super spreader events. Maybe rapid antigen testing should be made available in schools for all children who show COVID symptoms? Of course there would be anti vaxxers who refuse to allow their child to be tested- but test them anyway.

On the AFL front, Levi Casboult, who has been looking to go to the Gold Coast, has refused the Pfitzer and Moderna vaccines and is waiting on the Novavax vaccine to become available in Australia. Levi has until the 18th February to be fully vaccinated and NOVAX has just resumed production in the US after significant production delays so maybe Levi's days in the AFL are numbered?

Just let er rip. It's time for Darwinism to do it's thing on the Elizabeth bogans. They aren't gonna get the jab. Stuff em

Really has gone too far

Disturbing footage has emerged of a blow-up replica of Daniel Andrews being thrown on to a makeshift gallows. The incident, seen by the Herald Sun, is understood to have been filmed overnight, as dozens of rowdy protesters staged a week-long camp-out on the steps of parliament.

The protesters could be heard jeering and chanting “Kill Dan”, while others cheered and laughed as music was played in the background.

Every leader of every political party at both state and federal level and every newspaper in the country has to condemn this unequivocally.

TORONTO -- A U.K. company that developed a new COVID-19 vaccine intended to be delivered via a small skin patch with microneedles has been granted approval for human trials.

Oxfordshire-based company “Emergex” developed a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2 that is designed to prime T-cells (white blood cells that are part of the immune system) in the body to rapidly remove virus-infected cells.

The vaccine may offer broad immunity from variants and provide long-lasting immunity that would not require booster vaccines,

Although current COVID-19 vaccines have made significant progress in reducing mortality and morbidity challenges still remain, especially with the development of new variants,” said principal trial investigator Blaise Genton in the release. “This exciting new scientific approach to developing a vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 addresses the need to generate a T-Cell response to elicit long-term immunity. We look forward to evaluating the results as when they are available.”

With liberal MPs in Victoria encouraging it no wonder the whole state thinks they're a joke.

Meanwhile NSW is pushing to extend their emergency covid powers this week till 2023 with no parliament oversight whatsoever and not a word from the media.

Home quarantine for up to 50,000 people, treating sick people in medi-hotels, and opening new Covid care centres as an alternative to emergency departments form a key part of the state government’s strategy to deal with virus cases when borders open next week.
The government’s Covid-19 Health System Response Strategy details how it will manage a surge in new cases without overwhelming the health system.
It comes as authorities warn of potential border changes with the Northern Territory, after Katherine recorded nine new cases on Tuesday, sparking a lockdown for the region.
SA Police announced on Tuesday evening they were reviewing the border arrangements with the state in response to the “emerging Covid-19 situation” with the potential for further travel restrictions to be imposed.
“South Australians travelling through the Northern Territory are encouraged to limit their activities to transiting through Katherine and the surrounding areas,” a police spokesperson said.
Chief public health officer Professor Nicola Spurrier told Adelaide radio on Wednesday morning the NT situation was “very concerning”.
About 85 per cent of people who test positive to coronavirus are expected to remain in their homes when borders reopen and cases increase.
“Overall home quarantine capacity will be required for up to 50,000 people, which includes up to 3000 people who have tested positive to Covid-19, in addition to their families and close contacts,” the document states.

Yes it is very clear what the Liberal agenda is. I still think Dan has massive support in Victoria though.

Eagles have a problem. I'd be thinking if there's players that are not vaxxed and are currently doing their own research without telling you which university they are enrolled in whilst conducting said research then they are not getting vaxxed.

This is an interesting, and in some ways sympathetic article, an exploration of the psyche of many of them, although they will deny this.

The Q stuff continues to spread like an infectious beast itself, most likely assisted by Eastern European troll farms, those Wellness Crusader cults, Politicians who are using it to their own political ends, and the like.

I see the stuff that W was spreading on here is the same stuff from the same sources my anti vax conspiracy theorist, pro protests, anti mask, freedom fighter, friend on facebook is posting.

Anyway here’s a bit of it…

“1) They are good, decent people. Which is a key part of the problem. They are driven by the idea that they are fighting an injustice that nobody else can see. So I hear a lot of "Why isn't somebody doing something?" "Why aren't people angry about this?"

2) This sense of righteous zeal means, as with almost every other form of online activism, they feel they are at war, so the usual rules are off. You can harass, you can abuse, you can spread half-truths in the name of your holy mission. You are a good person, after all.

3) They honestly believe all the misinformation they're spreading. More than that, they are emotionally invested. I've seen people distraught, on the edge of hysteria, because of some great new conspiracy a friend on some forum has just forwarded to them.
Their mission – whether it's being anti-vaccine or anti-lockdown measures – is a core part of their identity. Being mandated to receive a vaccine means suffering a great psychic injury – can you still be an anti-vaxxer if you've been vaccinated (and survived)?

5) This means, essentially, to change their mind about vaccines or emergency health measures is to kill off the most vital, zealous part of themselves. So it's pointless arguing. All the same, I can't help giving it a go.

6) I love an argument. (This is nothing to do with anti-vaxxers, just a moment of self-discovery along the way)

7) Most of the stuff that upsets them is based on half-truths or misunderstandings. Today's upset was about an Omnibus Bill McGowan recently passed in secret, giving horrendous powers to the government.
This bill was actually passed in September of last year and has formed the basis of the WA government's response to the pandemic over the past 14 months. It was extended for a further 6 months in October.

etc etc….”

They had a substantial number of highly religious types featured on that Amazon documentary series (there’s a strong correlation between evangelicals and refusal in the States). That said, NicNat is one and has rolled up his sleeve (but also defends those who haven’t).

Surely Marshall et al are reading the tea leaves of public discontent over the last few days

Despite the fact that they've being spruiking 23/11 as the 'open up' to NSW / VIC day even with all their daily cases, you watch them use the NT outbreak and Indigenous Communities as the excuse to push back the date indefinitely

NicNat is the only somewhat likeable thing about that horrid corporation masquerading as a football club.
