So NSW did an update on their "Recovered" & therefore "Active" cases yesterday (they don't do them daily like the other states) and we are now down to a NATIONAL total of 143 Reported Active Cases!

Breakdown of these Active Cases are: NSW = 71, VIC = 49, WA = 18, QLD = 4 & ACT = 1. (SA, NT & TAS = 0)

Yea 6 quarantine hotels, and the delay was due to attemtping to contact all patients of those 3 GP clinics. Which is good, cause getting a call about it would be much better than just hearing about it in the news.

Pakenham Springs Primary School closed after students test positive to COVID-19

A primary school in Melbourne far south-east will be closed today after two students tested positive to coronavirus.
Pakenham Springs Primary School will undergo cleaning after two students from the same family contracted the virus.

Acting principal Renee Cotterell said: “Students and staff who have attended the school are required to remain at home while contact tracing occurs.”

Pakenham Springs is 60km southeast of Melbourne on Livingstone Blvd.

The news comes as restrictions are further eased across the state, with Victorians able to get on the beers without ordering a meal, restaurants and cafes will be able to welcome up to 50 patrons, and shared camping facilities will reopen.

Two schools have today shut after four students linked to one family tested positive to coronavirus. They are among 12 cases confirmed in the last 24 hours. Two students are from Pakenham Springs Primary School and two students are from St Dominic’s Primary School in Broadmeadows. Both schools have been closed for cleaning and close contacts, including classmates and teachers, have been told to self isolate for 14 days.

The four children are all linked to an outbreak from one family from Coburg. A total of 11 family members from that cluster have now tested positive to the virus.

A second Black Lives Matter protester, a young woman, was also among those confirmed to have coronavirus.

AFL PLAYERS have been given the all-clear to surf, play golf and tennis and to go fishing, after the game's controlling body eased restrictions relating to COVID-19.

Following a countrywide relaxation by state governments of social regulations, the AFL informed its clubs on Monday of the changes.

Players and club staff have also been given conditional permission to visit the homes of immediate family and fellow teammates.

We will not be seeing Cunners or LDU for a while.

Another Melbourne primary school has been closed due to coronavirus. Strathmore Primary School joins the list of schools to be closed due to COVID-19. Acting Principal Renee Cotterell wrote: “The school will remain closed until Friday to allow infectious cleaning of the school site to occur.”

It comes as authorities order the closure of Pakenham Springs Primary School until the end of the week after two students from the same family tested positive to the virus.

There have been nine new cases of COVID-19 found in Victoria, with two recent clusters of the virus growing overnight. Of the new cases, two are linked to Monash Health while another is a close contact of an extended family outbreak tracing back to Coburg. The family cluster now sits at 12 and yesterday forced the closure of Pakenham Springs Primary School and St Dominic’s Primary School in Broadmeadows.

Returned travellers made up two of the other new cases while community testing picked up a new infection in a student in Strathmore Primary School.
