I know what it is, its an aspirational goal set by the UN with respect to sustainable global development. A non-binding action plan, similar to the Kyoto protocols and emission reduction.

Do you honestly think the UN have that much power dude? No Government listens to them anymore.

Like... do you honestly think that Scott Morrison (and Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, Xi, Putin, Bolisanro, Macron, Merkel etc etc) plus Murdoch, Kerry Packer and other Media CEO are regularly the phone to the UN, and are all actively putting into place some Machiavellian global agenda on their behalf?
I guess they all come up with the same slogans by chance.

Also, please confirm for me who is behind this global conspiracy.

Wealthy Jewish families right?

All of the wealthy people are behind it, Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Soros, Gates, Musk, Zuckerberg & many more etc.

As I've said, All governors, premiers, prime ministers, presidents are all playing their role in this crisis they've signed up for. You either choose to be part of it or you don't.

I don't get where you're going here?

Several governments have also adopted the (non binding) 2015 UN Sendai resolution to rebuild better internal structures to deal with future disasters in the event of a disaster.

What's wrong with that?

And we've made ours.

USA: 262,000 deaths and rising (at over 2,000 deaths per day).
Australia: 907 deaths and stable (0 new deaths per day).

Im happy with our choice.

Taking 1 miniscule state where we have thousands of impacts is nonesense

Whose gonna have the guts to measure the deaths caused by the food crisis around the world? Or as I mentioned before the excess death via cancers due to lack of testing? Or the suicides via mental health?

Its not black and white like that. ****, nothing in life is. This theory is the equivalent of me being the CFO and saying "We are spending more money then we are making so we lost money this month" and walking off the stage. Some problems need a bit more analysis then that and reality is this problem needs more analysis then a 30 word sentence im afraid

Three Jews, a Baptist and an Atheist.

Are their meetings something like this:

All governors, premiers, prime ministers, presidents are all playing their role in this crisis they've signed up for.

So Morrison, Trump, Xi, Putin, Johnson, Merkel, Macron, Ardern, Bolisanaro, Kim etc are all in on it this global conspiracy by 'all of the wealthy people', are actively working towards it, and are keeping it to themselves?

And their replacements (every 4 years or so in most cases) are also 'in on it' and also sworn to secrecy, as are literally thousands of Government employees, plus Media CEO's like Packer, Stokes and Murdoch etc?

That's a pretty impressive veil of secrecy, seeing as a SASR NCO on a Top Secret mission cant murder a farmer behind a shed in Afhanistan without the Government finding out about it, and whistle-blowers leaking it.

Perhaps reflect on that for a bit.

Again, there is no lack of Cancer testing. If you don't believe me, pick up the phone and arrange an appointment with your GP for a test. I'll bet you 50 bucks you can get one. There is zero evidence that Cancer testing has been in any way affected by COVID testing in Australia.

There is a wealth of evidence that rampant COVID infections places a huge strain on Hospitals and medical staff however, with many hospitals and even whole health systems completely overrun by people with infections.

Re suicide modelling, it's been done already and recommendations are in place to mitigate or reduce that risk:

https://insightplus.mja.com.au/2020/30/suicide-deaths-forecast-for-13-7-increase/

13 percent increase according to that modelling.

The report also suggests the following to ease this:

The report authors found that the most effective strategy modelled to “bend the mental health curve” was a combination of employment programs extended to March 2022; youth education programs; a doubling of current growth rate in community-based specialist mental health services; coordinating multidisciplinary, measurement-based care enabled through technology; and post-suicide attempt assertive aftercare.

“This combination is projected to prevent 97 030 mental health-related ED presentations, 13 842 self-harm presentations, and 1590 suicide deaths over the period 2020–2025,” the report said.

These impacts will last years though? We need to measure this over a long period of time. You are calling the winner of the game in the 1st quarter here. Just not that simple when you have a problem this complex

Can I be honest as well? Nothing against you but EVERY SINGLE TIME i bring up the impending food crisis people just flat out ignore it and never address it. Is there any reason its not a concern at all? My personal opinion is the food crisis we are about to experience will be the worst humanitarian event in the last 100+ Years and will be the worst thing to come out of this by a long long way.

Any evidence COVID protection measures are contributing to the food crisis?

The World Bank (while recommending several measures) had this to say on October 15:

Global agricultural markets remain stable as food trade has remained more resilient than overall trade. Global production levels for the three most widely consumed staples (rice, wheat and maize) are at or near all-time highs and trade at prices that are close to their January 2020 levels.

https://www.worldbank.org/en/topic/agriculture/brief/food-security-and-covid-19

I actually find it hilarious that a poster above is criticising the UN's Agenda 21 and BBB programs, when both of them are warning of just such a problem (sustainability, and the ability of human society to respond to a global emergency without breaking down).

If food production is important to you (and it should be), Global Warming, sustainability (over fishing, logging the Amazon etc) and so forth should be your number one concern over COVID.

Would you prefer other modelling without the use of computers?

But.. that's how Governments work. He only has that power because Parliament delegated it to his position. Its the same in every Government department.

The Minister for Transport isn't the one signing off on your driving licence, any more than the Minister for Police is signing every prosecution notice brought by VICPOL, or the Minister for Education is signing every VCE certificate. Those roles are delegated to executives within the Department and the like.

Technically we dont vote in Ministers either (who make decisions under Acts of Parliament). They're appointed by the Legislature. It's just that the Legislature appoint themselves into the role (wearing a different hat).

Cant the Minister for Health (and Premier) override Sutton?

I do agree with you that decisions of this magnitude should properly be personally approved by the Minister by the way. Id just be shocked if the Premier and Minister for Health cant veto the decision made by a member of the department, even a senior member such as Sutton.
These aren’t simply executive decisions though, they are the writing of laws.

We have a process for that and it requires passage through two Houses of Parliament and royal assent.

What we have here is law-making power being harnessed by a handful of unelected bureaucrats under the cover “emergency powers”. This has occurred all over the western world. It’s ripe for abuse. Hitler did it by the book in 1933 with the Enabling Act.

I put it to you that we simply do not have an emergency under which these powers can be harnessed.

How is there an emergency after a month of 0 cases? Even if we were the US right now, how is there an emergency? The virus is now the status quo. It’s endemic and here to stay, vaccine or no vaccine. By definition the status quo cannot be an emergency.

Nice little bullshit way to subvert democracy.

The food production cycle is much more then that im afraid. The true issue will be the logistics of getting the food to the increased food insecure. It was the sole cause of the Somalia famine as opposed to the "We dont have enough food in the world to give to you". Not on my home PC so dont have articles etc but there is a ton of research in regards to the increase of food insecurity worldwide and the growing impact this will have going forward

To be honest I tend to think this is myself. I personally think Brazil should be frozen out of the world economy Iran style until they stop the logging in the Amazon just as a brief example. Im certain the death toll of Covid will be like a speck of dust compared to the future events like these

No, they are Executive decisions. The Chief Health Officer is a member of the Executive branch of Government, acting under powers granted to him by the Minister under s20 of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic), and is subject to the 'direction and control' from the Secretary (who is the Ministers direct delegate under s15 of the same Act):

Delegation by Minister

(1) Subject to the Public Administration Act 2004 , there is to be appointed by the Secretary as the Chief Health Officer a person who is a registered medical practitioner.

(2) Subject to the general direction and control of the Secretary, the Chief Health Officer has the powers, duties, functions and immunities that are conferred or imposed on the Chief Health Officer by or under this or any other Act.

http://classic.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/vic/consol_act/phawa2008222/s15.html

Both Houses, approved the Public Health and Wellbeing Act and it received royal asset as normal.

Any food shortages look likely to affect only developing countries, or nations that rely on such countries for food supply.

Im not sure how COVID really impacts those developing countries, many of whom don't practice any real forms of enforceable lockdown.

Alright. So this is happening.

I believe written contact tracing is also viable.

I have essentially no choice here. Literally can't go anywhere social if I don't go along with it. Get invited somewhere, "sorry can't go, don't have the app". This isn't much different from the amount of tracking our phones already do but this is going straight to the government rather than a corporation. Spitty_the_alpaca you'll love all this.

I'll have to pick my battles and I'm willing to let this one go to win the war. It's become a strategic play by play.

Sure the Act was.

But the declaration of an emergency confers law-making power.

Do we have an emergency right now?

Where do you think food aid comes from? and what happens when the food supply narrows down when developed countries slash aid to protect there own food insecure population? How do you reckon Bidens gonna go with the "I know you are all hungry but we just sent all our exceed aid to Africa, just work it out yoursrlves"?

I think alot of the narratives like the one you are promoting are fluffy puff pieces from the media sucking you in. Fact is you go to the UN, you look at the agencies who actually deal with the direct problem. Each and every one says this is the worst food crisis in 50 years

We cant ignore the 99 who say this is a issue because 1 idiot said its not...

Its not mandatory to use it. You can just write down your name and contact details if you want.
I know, which I mentioned. It's still another way to track everyone's movements and such. Another six to twelve months and the app will be mandatory

But the declaration of an emergency confers law-making power.

No it doesn't.

Section 198 of Division 3 of the same Act, requires the Minister to declare a State of Emergency, requires the Minister to constantly update Parliament on the progress and of any emergency powers so exercised under the Act, and limits the COVID-19 state of emergency to 12 months.

During the State of Emergency the CHO can exercise Emergency Powers, which are contained in s200 of the same Act.

They are:

(a) detain any person or group of persons in the emergency area for the period reasonably necessary to eliminate or reduce a serious risk to public health;

(b) restrict the movement of any person or group of persons within the emergency area;

(c) prevent any person or group of persons from entering the emergency area;

(d) give any other direction that the authorised officer considers is reasonably necessary to protect public health.

They're Executive powers, not Legislative ones.

Not only can the Premier, Minister or Secretary override any of those decisions by the Chief Health Officer at will, but Division 1 of the Act also provides a method of Judicial appeals to the VCAT (and obviously Victoria's Supreme Court).

If you think the CHO has not provided you with procedural fairness or natural justice, or has acted ultra vires in the exercise of these powers granted to him by Parliament, or if you think the Ministers declaration of a State of Emergency was also invalid for failure to take into account all relevant information, then I urge you to take it up with VCAT or the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Also, if Donald Trump is 'in on it' why is he downplaying the Virus constantly and saying it'll just disappear?

And if he isn't 'in on it', why isn't he tweeting about this Grand conspiracy every 5 seconds?

I presume he (along with all other world leaders) would have been briefed about this grand conspiracy of the worlds billionaires, secretly using the UN to control world governments, and bring about a one world government.

Or is it your view that he is keeping this conspiracy to himself, while secretly fighting a war against the Deep State and their Agenda 21/ Satanic Paedo Cannibal rings/ microchipping/ 5G/ Chemtrails plot?

Is he aware of it (and complicit), aware of it (and keeping it secret while waging a secret war against it) or unaware of it?

Its obviously a China vs USA issue though so if you are wondering why Donald Trump is ignoring a China based power grab in a election year that he is clearly losing, id say he is doing so because he isnt that much of a idiot

I will be taking the vaccine as soon as possible (after front liners get it). My Girlfriend is in Switzerland and I have a feeling the Feds will incentivise O/S travel by allowing people to leave Oz (on the condition they're vaccinated).

Im hoping its available and Im immunized by 1 June of next year.
You do know it's not going to stop you getting sick right, all vaccines ever do is reduce your chances not bullet proof you against the virus.

How many times have you heard people complain they got sick despite taking the flu shot and look puzzled as to how.

Not without a legal challenge it wont.

Not even the Feds went that far, and for good reason.
The legal bodies that normally speak up for people's rights have been conspicuously silent through all of the lockdowns. I hope you're right, but why do you think it will change now?
