What will you think if only a handful are positive? Or better still none? Maybe then we can all get some context here... The way people are carrying on we should expect that out of the 70 patients he treated, at least 65 will be positive.

Hopefully none are positive, but that’s quite a stretch, there will be a few that will be positive, unsure about a number.

What medical scientist? Name names.

You do realise influenza has something like a 0.1% mortality rate, right? Coronavirus is a lot higher than that, it isn't an estimate because we already know it is. You just need to see the amount of people dead to see that. Italy has just quarantined 16 million people - that simply doesn't happen with influenza.

Yeh, who knows.. all I know is it’s not a time to hang a dr out to dry who had nothing more than a runny nose which consequently not a genuine symptom to be worried about regarding Cov19

I like the sound of your plan. Have all doctors quarantined due to a sniffle. All doctors are to stay home if their throat gets a little scratchy. Patients can then go to emergency wards. In fact doctors should just stop seeing patients to keep themselves safe. We can all go see the chemist.

Actually we don’t know Coronavirus mortality rate is a lot higher than that as the percentage is based on every person who has the virus included in the total figure. Do you think the total figure of 100k infected worldwide is correct? Do you think Indonesia only got their first case of Coronavirus last week? Or do you think the figure is probably at least double the number bandied about which would dramatically decrease the mortality rate. Do you think if the media ran with headlines and articles saying if you get this virus you have about a 99.8% chance of survival if you are under 50 and around a 96% chance of survival if you are older? Do you think that would illicit panic in the community? Would it cause people to stockpile enough toilet paper to last a year?
Or do you think headlines of “killer virus hits Australia” “Sydney becomes ground zero for deadly disease” is a more accurate description?
 
Italian football league undecided. Game is supposed to start now with no supporters. Players were waiting to come out and officials have told them to go back to the rooms for 30 min delay as League officials contemplate whether matches will go ahead today. This particular game is a derby game but there’s talk they may ban inter region travel!
 
We always talk about empty crowds, but what about players being impacted? Could we see teams being forced to abandon games due to the spread of the virus among players?
