In my experience, 'not in my lifetime' predictions get proved wrong in about 10 years.

The other 'guarantee' that has been thrown around is that churches won't have to conduct marriages that go against their beliefs. It will just be a matter of time before someone claims they are being discriminated against.

As long as churches exist as tax-free for-profit institutions then I think they can damned follow the law, they certainly don't deserve any more special treatment to discriminate at will.

They do follow the law. It says that 'Non-profit entities that operate for the public benefit to advance religion in a direct and immediate sense are charities'.

There's a case for that law to be looked at but religious groups shouldn't be made to do things that are against their faith.

“There are many important issues that would benefit from lively and informed debate. It’s regrettable that Ms. Wright chose instead to devote an article to muddying the water with false and misleading claims.”
