Thought it was mighty fine of Tom Harley to be the first to offer to take a pay cut, obviously knows theres more to footy than money unlike another particular player who has proved he doesn't think there is more to footy than money, damn you Judd.

Judd wants money to boost his ego. Simple as that. I actually have more respect for Ben Cousins than i do for Judd at this point.

I dont think we have anything to worry about as the group seem to be extremely happy to be playing together, and besides how much money do you need to be living large in Geelong?

A mate of mine said after we got 9 AA's that we'll have trouble with the Salary Cap, and at the time I was confident we'd have players that would take pay cuts to keep the team together.

We might lose a fringe player or two along the way, but the core will remain strong. Those who I can't see leaving:

Ling
Bartel
Ablett's
Chapman
Harley
Scarlett
Mooney
Corey

That right there is a strong core group who I all reckon would take a pay cut to stay at the club.

i'm not 100% sure of this, but i recall a previous post mentioning that scarlett and harley will join the veterans list in 2009, as will steven king. assuming these are 3 of the highest paid guys in the team, surely that brings immediate slaray cap relief come 09..?
