Guys I am sure that if BC got delisted and Judd was okay maybe we could take him.

I think with Judd , cousins, stevens, Murp, scotland etc we would have the best mids in the AFL.

Pratt could book him in to a proper rehab centre and we could afford to blood test him every week..... surely it is worth the risk.

Wouldnt even consider it. At the moment Ben Cousins has to worry about fighting his drug addiction and ensuring he doesnt end up with the same fate as chris mainwering. Football should no longer be a talking point, and carlton would be crazy to even persue such an avenue, as would any other club.

Judd did the right thing to leave wce judd could pull cousins into line if Cousins keeps taking drugs he'll overdose himself as happened with singers do etc

Um no thanks....

We don't need a reason for Judd to leave he's only been with us 5 minutes

May cop flak for what i'm about to say but, if Carlton do pick up Cousins, i will not renew my social club and my little boys membership. Have zero respect for Cousins, and don't think the club would be showing respect to its playing list, supporters or sponsers, by getting involved with Cousins.

Seriously don't think will have to worry about that, as i believe he will be de-registered by the AFL.

I hope as a person he is able to get some help and get on with his life, but he needs to start with himself, be honest and get help! I have thought for a while now, with various rumours floating around regarding Cousins, not just this year, but over past 3-4 years. Without football, he would be in jail or dead within 2 years, I'm hoping this prediction doesn't eventuate, time will tell.

cheers

I don't think your out of line in saying that and many people would feel the same way. This whole Ben Cousins issue goes way beyond football.

I think he will retire as that would be in his best interests.

Why not read any of the other half dozen threads on exactly the same topic over the past day or so?

COUSINS = BAD ENERGY:thumbsd:

Imagine we said ok u have a problem but u love footy and we will help him back to health. Pratt could afford to test him daily and therefore keep him clean. It could be win win.

I wonder if people actually understand how hard it is to beat an ice addiction (not saying he has one, I'm just putting it out there). There is no set cure for the addiction, and it does not just involve spending a lot of money and clicking your fingers and BANG, the subject is cured. It is very ****ing serious. The user could be trapped in the drug and using even against his/her own will, such is the addiction.

I don't think Ben Cousins will ever play AFL again, which is really sad, because he was an excellent footballer and a supreme athlete. Anyway, football should be the last thing on his mind. He is facing a massive battle. It's ironic that Such Is Life is written across his body.

Agree with you in all respects ToTTi

Oh for gods sake!

It isn't about the ****ing money. The Eagles can afford to get him rehabilitated. That is NOT the issue at hand.

The issue is Ben's willingness to get off whatever he has been taking. And from what we've seen, it's pretty damn clear that he thinks of himself more than the team, and that he isn't willing to give up the party life.

Fair enough but people can change I say lets give the guy a chance

watching sports news on fox sports running across the screeen AFL is Certainly to De-Register Cousins so looks like his Career will come to an end.

Change comes from within the man has shown no desire to do so.
No ammount of money will change it.

His been de-listed for now.

Would be funny if he went into the psd and carlton picked him.

Judd and Cousins AND Stevens in Carlton along with Murphy Kruezer and Gibbs. Thats pretty dam scary

Of course people CAN change. That's the whole theoretical rationale behind giving people more than one chance.

Cousins WAS given more than one chance. And he has shown that he can't change, and will not change, regardless of how many chances he is given.
