Barmy Army is like we're not going to boo Smith. Smith comes out to bat after Head annihilates the poms and i hear some salty boos

Yeah, I'm disappointed it finished so early but what a rollercoaster of a game it was. Both teams had the game in control and in their favour only to squander their chances until the 4th innings.T20 really has impacted test cricket in so many ways. We have higher run rates which are really entertaining, but we also have dumbarse impatient batters doing some bizarre shots. End result is 2 day tests.
I would do this and bring in Webster. You get a decent batsmen and an extra bowling option. In the last shield game he got a 5 for. With the news that Hazelwood will miss all the Ashes , and Khawaja walking like a 60 yo , have the selectors got the balls to drop Uzzie ? I also wonder if moving Head to permanently open is a good idea or if he should stay in the middle order ?
Issues that should of been resolved before the Ashes started. Off to Brisbane then.
I think they leave Head to open as well . Can't have 2 Rookies opening the batting and both Marnus and Smithy are not openers .I would do this and bring in Webster. You get a decent batsmen and an extra bowling option. In the last shield game he got a 5 for.
Not sure what made me laugh more , picking Khawaja , or him commenting on a pitch he only had a brief visit on . Feels like the whole momentum of the Ashes has slightly stalled .
Yeah the 2 day test really didn't help. CA must have lost a ton of $$$. Too long between tests when it finishes so early. Talk will ramp up again in the coming days, but yeah the momentum has stalled a bit. The series really need England to come out and put up a good show this next test, or the series could be done and dusted yet again far too early. The memorable Ashes series from the past are the closely fought one's. On paper their team is arguably better than ours. So i expect them to win a test or two.Not sure what made me laugh more , picking Khawaja , or him commenting on a pitch he only had a brief visit on . Yep. Easily one of the more memorable test series from any era that one. We seem to be able to put up a fight over there much more than the Poms do here. Most of the memorable Ashes series are over there.Yeah I feel somewhat indifferent to the result. Would rather see good cricket and a close series. I would argue the 05 ashes is the greatest I've seen in my life and Australia lost. Series could have gone either way and literally came to that wicket of Brett Lee.
Usually spend most Aus test summers barracking for the other side to make a series out of it.Yeah I want England to be competitive, if we get another blowout series it'll be so boring. Last year's summer against India was awesome because it was close, more of that please.
Yeah with the exception of that 2010/11 series where they completely smashed at home I can't recall any time england have been competitive here.Yep. Their performance in the 2021/22 ashes was literally Zimbabwe levels of bad. I almost didn't feel anything at the end of the series because every game basically followed the same script.Yeah with the exception of that 2010/11 series where they completely smashed at home I can't recall any time england have been competitive here.
Or Binga.Say what you will, I still had a heap of fun with the 13/14 whitewash, but then again we where reclaiming those. Also had my Englishman grandfather around still to banter with.
As someone who finds bowling boring and would rather watch a good batsman, was probably the most excited i've been watching us bowl with Johnson in peak form
Didn't care for cricket at all when Binga was playing, but of course saw him all over my wheatbix boxOr Binga.
True story: I spent a year in around 2007 or so being Brett Lee. That is, I ghost wrote letters to primary school children as Brett Lee talking about healthy living.Didn't care for cricket at all when Binga was playing, but of course saw him all over my wheatbix box
