Only thing i can think of is what they do in baseball and hollow it out and fill it with cork?

That's what I was thinking. But isn't that illegal? He did have a smirk on his face when he asked me come to think of it.

Yes i would think it would be illegal, its illegal for the baseballers, dont know how much it would help in cricket though because the ball is heavier i think and you need weight and power to hit the ball well.
 
The reason corking is illegal in baseball is because it adds power to the bat.

In cricket, if your bat is too heavy, you can have some wood taken out of the back and fill it with cork to make it lighter. At a guess, I reckon that may be what he was talking about. Has nothing to do with power.

it's a hayden 380 beast at a guess. It is just the 'monster bat' of its range (huge edges etc, like the big kahuna. Only Kooka make 'The Beast"
