Sad to hear that.

Crozier's voice was synonymous with the Windies tours to Australia in the eighties and nineties. Crozier had a unique voice and I did not realise that he was 75. Greig, Tyson, Benaud and now Crozier all gone, there are not many of the old Nine commentary team left.

RIP Tony Cozier. One of the important cricket voices of my youth. It might of only been the T-20 World Cup, but at least he got to see the Windies on top of world cricket again before he passed away.

Poms making a mess of Sri Lanka in the First Test of the English summer. England made 298 batting first, and then rolled the visitors for a pathetic 91. Anderson and Broad took 9 for 37 between them.

The Poms then enforced the follow on: fair chance this will be over inside 3 days.

The Poms are getting good at preparing wickets to suit their bowlers. Then again the Lankans would know all about preparing wickets to suit the home side.

The capitulation is complete. Sri Lanka reached 2 for 79, but then they lost 8 for 40 to lose by an innings and 88 runs. Anderson finished with match figures of 10 for 45, but Bairstow was man of the match for his 140.

Australia Test squad for Sri Lanka tour ... Steve Smith (c), David Warner (v-c), Joe Burns, Usman Khawaja, Adam Voges, Shaun Marsh, Mitchell Marsh, Moises Henriques, Peter Nevill, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Jackson Bird, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Nathan Lyon Steve O'Keefe.

Sri Lanka are trailing Moeen Ali by 61 runs with two wickets in hand after day 2 of the second test at Chester-le-Street.
Yeah they're woeful. They were 1 for 44 at one stage, but they slumped to 8 for 91 at stumps. I reckon they'd struggle away to Zimbabwe right now :)

You could be right - Chris Woakes 3 for 9 ffs. Chris Woakes!
You want some ridiculous stats? Sri Lanka has now lost 28 for 301 for the series, which is less than 11 runs per wicket. Numbers like that make the Redbacks seem like Bradman's Invincibles.

The massive number of posts on this forum clearly indicate an unprecedented level of interest in the tri series in the Caribbean....... yeah I feel the same way!!!

There's a tri series? :)

It should be spelt TRY, not TRI - as in try to generate a bit of interest in a meaningless ODI series in the middle of footy season :)
They can't even generate interest in the Caribbean

At least Australia have made the final. It will probably be against the Proteas.
Yeah and if it's them, it'll be sweet to knock them off. South Africa are perennial finals chokers - it'd be lovely to keep it that way!!!

Once again the Proteas choked and didn't even make the final. They had the Windies 4/21 and let them make 285. Would have been good to beat them in another final though.

Might be a good final. Both sides have dangerous players, so it may come down to the wire.

Just saw on cricinfo that the Poms had a stunning win over Sri Lanka yesterday. The visitors batted first and made a respectable 254. But England won by 10 wickets with 95 balls to spare!!!
