Because Labuschagne made runs at 4 last test and Smith has to come back in.

Realistically, you could mount a case for dropping all of the batsmen, bar Smith amd Labuschagne.

He has definately looked more confortable at the crease, at least he looked like he could go on and make some runs, that 61 innings must be wearing thin.

I thought there was no real reason to bring the two cheats back to honest. Both should have been banished and never heard from again.

Unfortinately this is countered by the law of probability. After 10 tail tosses the 11th toss is still 50/50.

Oh f*** off with this bullsh!t. Pretty much every team has done something similar in recent years. Our guys got caught red-handed and were punished to the maximum level for it. They've done their time. (Smith wasn't even directly guilty).

Du Plessis and a few others are just lucky there wasn't so much made of what they did.
