It is widely known that Carlton had to get the AFL to mediate on the Warnock deal after the pathetic picks Carlton offered were refused, and Warnock threatened to walk straight in the PSD. And guess what, if you don't get the deal done, you'll lose more credibility than us. I can't believe Adelaide were dumb enough to trade Bock compo + 3rd rounder for that hack Tambling, that will go down as one of the worst trades ever.

To me it says they don't rate the later picks in the draft. This would explain why they're so reluctant to use pick 14.

I don't think it is that complicated. If Adelaide want to give away the Bock pick (that we would have eventually taken for Jacobs)for a hack like Tambling it is up to them. I am pretty sure all Carlton fans would be more than happy to pass on a 3rd round pick which is close to pick 50 and let him go to the PSD for nothing. If we accepted that pick we would be saying to all clubs just come and rape us any time at the trade table. Pick 50 in this draft is close to useless would prefer to upgrade a rookie. Adelaide would have had him with the Bock pick but have tried to go out of there way to give us nothing so I say thank them by letting him go to Richmond for nothing.

Jacobs at Adelaide would cover a massive hole you guys have... and would give your midfield an advantage at every contest

As a club, if we lose him for nothing, it will not affect the actual performance of the club

As a club, if you miss out on him, you will still have a gaping wound that will always plays to your disadvantage throughout the year
