A really young list with a significant number of first choice players out, and key postion players out to boot, it's a development year.
It's not even about how he plays, but look at his arms. He's been in the system for 4 years and is already bigger than everyone on our list. Why won't the club let our players get big like that? It's clearly a huge advantage. The guys a top 2 draft pick. Why we surprised he can play?
Given how undermanned the defense was are we really surprised that happened.
Its a development year but lets play an injured ruckman down forward and a key back who doesn't offer much. Would rather throw a few kids to the wolves to see what we've got, at least they'll have a bit of hunger.A really young list with a significant number of first choice players out, and key postion players out to boot, it's a development year.

Anybody can build a good physique with effort. The guys a top 2 draft pick. Why we surprised he can play?

I'd like to see Keeler next week, but I'm glad he didn't play today. Horrible day for a young tall forward to debut.Play keeler. Tell jack steele to stop moping around like a digruntled teenager. Hes embarrasing
Look, but don’t touch. Can I just say, NWM is a wonderful player. Good luck for the rest of your season.
I reckon the difference between the two sides was the 20-100 game players.
Crows 12: Rankine, Cumming, Sholl, Hinge, Soligo, Rachele, Murray, Thilthorpe, Peatling, Michalanney, Keane, Worrell
Saints 6: Clark, Wanganeen-Milera, Byrnes, Windhager, Caminiti, Wilson
Huge difference in numbers and in class on the day.
we had a bunch of drafts that should be players in the bracket and they just arnt at the club anymore. Make no mistake. This year is real beginning of the rebuildHe was one of your best todayCan I just say, NWM is a wonderful player. Good luck for the rest of your season.
He's played 90% game time 3 times in 98 games, the last time was in 2020.Does Hunter Clark only have 1 lung?
In the last 4 seasons(before this one), he barely ever plays more than 75% game time. He's closer to 65% for this time period.
Why do we persist with a guy that can't contribute for 4 quarters?
He is very slow ... not an athleteQuestion - is shoenmaker too slow ? Looked like he was running in sand at one stage where the oppo player ran past him ,away then kicked the goal .
3 first rounders goodCan I just say, NWM is a wonderful player. Good luck for the rest of your season.

He is worth more than that to us considering heavily compromised drafts the next 4 drafts probably3 first rounders good
The difference between their forward line in the first quarter (with the wind) and ours in the second was telling. They rushed numbers back and gave us no space, we gave them acres of space. Most uncompetitive we have looked in a round 1 for a long time.
Players looked flat
Structures were either not implemented correctly or just plainly didn't work
Gave up several end to end goals
Outnumbered everywhere
The big one is pressure we applied had 0 impact on their disposal. It's the same rule for when you leave you man to spoil, you better ****ing impact the contest or kill the ball because if you don't it's a training drill the other way. Time and time again we have players peeling off their man to add to the pressure on the ball and the crows got the ball out and waltzed it forward with a numbers advantage.
You just picked the biggest guy on their listIt's not even about how he plays, but look at his arms. He's been in the system for 4 years and is already bigger than everyone on our list. Why won't the club let our players get big like that? It's clearly a huge advantage.
Still twice as quick as Cordy, who is the slowest AFL player I've ever seen. I swear I'd beat him over 20 metres.Question - is shoenmaker too slow ? Looked like he was running in sand at one stage where the oppo player ran past him ,away then kicked the goal .
Oh lmao, I had no idea. I thought he was normal sized, but jackedYou just picked the biggest guy on their list... he is 6ft 8
I'm like a broken record, I know, but Thilthorp has been in the system for 4 years and already has more mass than literally our entire team. Why can't we get players putting on mass like that?
If Max King had a bit of size, he wouldn't get outmuscled in every single marking contest.
