Is it right that ROB had 6 hitouts and LMac had over 30 in the intraclub?

I dont agree that this rule change was necessary. The whole concept of AFL was any player can play anywhere. The rule was to ensure fairness at the ball up by allowing both ruckman to jump. Ok thats fair on principle but all they have done is gifted the ultra athletic jumper. I can seriously see clubs scouting A grade teams in amateur and country leagues to find jumpers they think they can manipulate to play this role, then they will just run on and off the bench.
30 to 6 would mean ROB has been beaten around the ground as well.

You think teams will effectively play 1 short just to win the tap?I dont agree that this rule change was necessary. The whole concept of AFL was any player can play anywhere. Touche.Isn’t that what we do with Rob?

What has Cameron done to negate this?I think former top line Melbourne ruckman Jeff White's video the other day was easily the best demonstration of how the ruck battles will work out, already Darcy Cameron has done his homework and was easily negating the influence of the taller jumping rucks. At this stage we'll wait to see if ROB can work out a similar strategy that suits him. I'd certainly go with Jeff White over those two internet blokes at this point Jeff can see ways how rucks will likely contend with the new rules.
Watch the video it's all explained by Jeff White in detailWhat has Cameron done to negate this?
My prediction is that McAndrew got a fo in the scratch, “and were really happy with what he showed us”, then it’s ROB in the trial and then he’s into round 1.
Old Nicks "Yes", new Nicks "No". We will know which Nicks we get round 1 and whether he will get sacked end of this year, it took him 4-5 weeks to finally drop Smith and Murphy for them to not return even though they should have been dropped a lot longer than those 4-5 weeks. My prediction is that McAndrew got a fo in the scratch, “and were really happy with what he showed us”, then it’s ROB in the trial and then he’s into round 1.
Barring injury, McAndrew is playing round 1.My prediction is that McAndrew got a fo in the scratch, “and were really happy with what he showed us”, then it’s ROB in the trial and then he’s into round 1.
Stretch is now 25 and has served his apprenticeship- he is at that age where he can now complete with the more athletic rucks around the leagueTrue. By all reports Lachie Mac had a major pre season and probably earned his spot regardless of the new rules. I am not going to dismiss his selection. But there would be some clubs though that just get pummeled on this rule.
This won’t happenMy prediction is that McAndrew got a fo in the scratch, “and were really happy with what he showed us”, then it’s ROB in the trial and then he’s into round 1.
I’m never a fan of wasting a draft pick on a ruckmanI wonder if the reason why we haven't drafted a ruckman despite really needing some young blood is because we were waiting to see how these new ruck rules pan out and so what type of ruckman to go for??
So we’ve been holding off for 10 years? lolI wonder if the reason why we haven't drafted a ruckman despite really needing some young blood is because we were waiting to see how these new ruck rules pan out and so what type of ruckman to go for??
Why waste picks on a Grundy, English, Gawn type when you can just score a ROB for free. It's like I always say, why pay more for a rib eye steak when you can just get a Big Mac for $10.I’m never a fan of wasting a draft pick on a ruckman
Even when the likes of Josh Fraser were drafted as top picks the wait for a young ruck to be AFL ready is to long
I prefer the approach that we took with Jacobs and now Stretch - target to bring a ruck in from another club when they have spent 4-5 years in the system developing.
We went hard at the young GC ruck and also targeted Andrew’s
Never a fan using a top draft pick on a ruck
The rules were announced last year, we haven’t drafted one for years.I wonder if the reason why we haven't drafted a ruckman despite really needing some young blood is because we were waiting to see how these new ruck rules pan out and so what type of ruckman to go for??
