Crows v Saints

According to Ch10 news tonight Smart & Stevens should return, but McLeod & Stenglein are likely to be unavailable. McLeod has thigh & ankle problems. I can't see Welsh returing just yet & Massie re-injured his calf at training. Marsh & Crowell must be dropped never to return. In fact I would delist them (are we allowed to?) & bring up a couple more rookies including Rutten. Beinke should come in as the Birdman needs some assistance up forward. So the team should be something like as follows:

B: Johncock, Bassett, Hart
HB: Smart, McGregor, Nelson
C: Doughty, Goodwin, Johnson
HF: Riccuito, Stevens, Beinke
F: Perrie, Burton, Edwards
R: Clarke, Bickley, Bode
I: Biglands, Rutten, Ladhams, Mattner
E: Gallagher, Shir, Henchell

IN: Stevens, Smart, Beinke, Rutten
OUT: McLeod (inj), Stenglein (inj), Marsh, Crowell

I'd love to drop Crowell and give Rutten a go. One problem I keep seeing with the Crows forward set up is that there is only one rover and 4-5 big blokes. I'd bring in Gallagher instead of the Burton, Stevens, Beinke,Perrie set up. That has been part of our problem for a while now. Putting Smart and Bass in defence is the way to go.

As for Marsh, I would'nt drop him off the list. Angwin isnt playing for Box Hill at the moment so we cant afford to do anything that drastic yet. Why didnt we get Mark Jamar as a back up? I think Hentschel needs more time in the SANFL at the minute.

As much as i hate bagging a player during the season with Ben Marsh i 'll make an exception, with all the talent the man possesses & with his height & build that he has what a great dissapointment he's been over the last 3 years,
He should never wear the tri colours again & either be traded or delisted at the end of the year,

Why not give Matt Shir a go, his form has been great for the bays all year & deserves a run with the crows before the year is over,

As dismall as the effort on the weekend was. I do not agree that we need to make wholesale changes this week. We should only change the necessary players. I would drop Marsh for sure and bring in the ever sexy & gorgeous Stevens (:D sorry but I have missed him over the past couple of weeks!), I would drop Ladhams and bring in Gallagher and drop Perrie for Smart. I am banking on Macca & Stinga getting up this week but if they don't then bring in Gallagher & Smart anyway and keep Ladhams & Perrie.

This is a must win game. Never think this will be an easy game. Loewe has been reported so we will sweat on the outcome of the tribunal to see if he is available this week.

Nothing more than a 7 goal win will be acceptable. Well any win will be good, but we need to do it convincingly.

Well KB, Lowe will play.

Smart and Stevo look like they are in, some doubts on Johncock, McLeod and Stenglien at the moment.

I think for this game we can afford the let Mcleod have the week off as he will be required to be at his best against the doggies the week after so it might be best to rest him this week:)

Marty, I hope you're not saying that because this week is a walk up start.

1994-Dropped Modra for disciplinary reasons against bottom side Sydney at home, we lost, I am sure Modra would have played if we were playing a good side.

Remember Pathetic Pitman. Now while I didnt 100% agree with the statement back then...the concept is good.
Ben Marsh needs to be questioned publicly within the inner sanctums before we delist him or talk him up as "pathetic"; to see what sort of character he has about him.(I dont think we have any zany coaching staff with the balls to say it though)

On the merits of resting McLeod...you have to; despite who we are playing.

We're nowhere near dead yet, its just that some of the players are starting to smell and we think we are dead

This is our normal winter midseason slump it happens every year
We'll bounce back; maybe not this week or the next but the following;)

shivers Marty!

Stevo for club champion in 2002!

maccas_no1 I think for this game we can afford the let Mcleod have the week off as he will be required to be at his best against the doggies the week after so it might be best to rest him this week

*shivers* Marty!!!! Don't put the heebee jeebees on the boys like that.

sapaul Marty, I hope you're not saying that because this week is a walk up start.

I agree sapaul, it is not going to be an easy game. I hope the boys go into the game with the right mentality. They should be embarrassed, hurt & angry with there performances over the past couple of weeks. If they go in with any other mind set, we are in danger of loosing our 4th game in a row.

Jerome Well KB, Lowe will play.

Jerome, don't they always get off! Clements last week, Loewe this week and Macca gets rubbed out for a crap "charging" report. He didn't hurt "pretty boy" LLoyd anyway

My hunk of a boy should be back this week! Yeah!!!!!!!!! Better take my binoculars this week for an up close and personal view of the gorgeous number 19!

Macca is in grave doubt for this week, I don't think Stinga is looking any better and young Stiffy hasn't trained all week. :( I hope we get some of these guys back for the Bullcraps game next week.

Go You Mighty Crows!!!!!!!

Team Changes

? OUTS:
McLeod - definitely missing with injury
Stenglein - probably missing with the injury
Marsh - useless
Crowell - worse than useless

? INS:
Smart - fully recovered
Stevens - fully recovered
Others to come in from Beinke, Gallagher, Shir

Johncock - likely to be OK

Team Line-ups

How the heck is Crowell still in the side, yet Beinke is named as an emergency. Don't the selectors realise we need more goal-kicking options. Surely this is a bogus side, as having Ladhams, Shir, Nelson & Biglands starting in our forward line doesn't exactly give us potency. Reckon Nelson may get a run-with role on Harvey.
