According to today's Sunday Herald Sun, our current membership tally is 14,700 (which is a great result as they have only been on sale for 3 weeks)

It is also mentioned in Scott Palmer's column that all reserved seating for home games has been sold for next year! (no surprise considering how we played this year)

I hope you all got the TD seating package so that you have a seat when we see the flag for the first time. Remember it's against Essendon. It's only $45 for our 3 home games.

No need. I like to sit up the top at the Dome and it costs just $5 for a seat there at our home games.

Well remember Essendon have special rights and I can see people complaining they can't get a ticket.

I'm well aware of it. It's been the case since the Dome opened so I feel no sympathy for people who still kick up a stink when they miss out.

Does this mean that any NEW membership applications have no chance at all of getting a reserved seat ?

fair effort but would like to be higher on the table with our premiershio behind us. I for one, will join up again ofocurse but won't until January. I have more pressing financial obligations right now (xmas blah!). Everyone get on board!!!

Someone will be disappointed.

There wont be any flag sighting at the Essendon game in Round 2. The club announced some time ago that they wont unfurl the flag until our first home game in Round 3 against Melbourne.

As Catman said, I'll happily take my seat on Level 3 for $5.

As for the amount of memberships we have sold, I think it's a terrific effort given they haven't been on sale for very long and that they'd still have a bucketload to process. That and a lot of people wont renew until next year because they have commitments with Xmas at the moment.

If we can get to 20,000 before Xmas we are doing an amazing job. Although given we won the flag it's not totally unexpected.

True, and I really can't it seeing increasing on last year, possibly it may even go down. The ground capacity is a major limitating factor, plus alot of people will be looking at the club and thinking that they don't need to buy a membership they won't use just to help keep the club afloat when the club is so bouyant at the moment.

I'll be very surprised if we don't increase our membership this season.

Good news for Geelong, but what would you expect after a premiership, all supporters come out of the woodwork..

Is there anyway of finding out all teams membership figures? It will be interesting to see what impact Judd, Ratten, Kruezer, Pratt, Swan etc. will have on our membership figures for 2008 at Carlton.

Dead right. There will be new members that can't even attend a match but will want to be part of the scene, and you cant blame them. Ground capacity will have little impact. There are also the Melbourne-based members who will want to attend MCG and TD games.

the Geelong Addy reports today that we are on track to 17,000 members by Christmas and that there is a backlog of forms to be processed.

My modest estimate for next season is 33,500 but I would not be surprised if we hit 35,000-36,000.

According to Brian Cook at the AGM last night we have 18,000 with a lot more to be processed.

Not sure if that is an accurate figure or if Brian just exaggerated a little. Be excellent news if it was true!

I would be very surprised if our membership base went down, staggered in fact. I am 100% certain we will get a good increase next year, up around 35,000.

My wife got me a membership for christmas but she made one small mistake it's for the nine lives club, instead of a intersate memebership. Anyway the club's going to sort out the error and make everything right.
so that would be 18001 now.
