Will Lonergan and Natrat be offered new contracts?? Seems as though the injured Prizz will get another couple and Dyson may have just done enough over the past month to stick around for another year...

Lonergans age should get him an extension.. only just turned 24, and while some consider that old these days.. thats really entering your prime age.

Was probably our second best clearance player for the season until he went down.... surely did enough to earn it.

Fletcher, Dustin - one more year
Hardingham, Kyle ?
Lonergan, Sam ?
Colyer, Travis ?
Davey, Alwyn -contracted to 2012
Dyson, Ricky ?
Lovett-Murray, Nathan ?
Prismall, Brent - will get a two year deal
Welsh, Andrew ?
Long, Anthony ?
[strike]Daniher, Darcy
[/strike]
Hardingham, Colyer & Lonergan should be the priorities. Not fussed by the rest - I'd probably cut Dyson & Welsh, keep the other two, but they're all 'meh'

The guys in bold will come under extreme scrutiny - personally I'd keep Dyson & NLM and ditch the rest but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
At this point it looks like we will have 4 or 5 spots on the list available shortly to contract new players to the club which is very exciting!

Ricky D and Welsh have found themselves as depth players moving forward, but you still need depth, I can tell you with a couple of injuries, heading towards the finals, I'd be a lot happier seeing Dyson and Welsh covering injuries than next years Davis and Ross.

Long would be pretty stiffed not to get an extension though- yes, injuries played a part, but just 2 years ago we saw enough in him to use a round 2 draft pick on him.

why wouldnt we offer them all another year? even just as depth, you can never have enough depth. If we resign them all how many spots would we have on our list to sign new players?

Dyson to GWS = Hurley safe!

Because the club needs to make a minimum of 3 changes to the senior list per year. Two done for us with Daniher and Williams retiring, will be at least one more. Trades and rookie upgrades count towards this too.

Hurley is a must sign if we're to keep GWS' mits off him?

Is anyone else a little concerned by this? I would have thought you would try and sign him this year given all the attention is deflected on players who are out of contract this year. If Hurley is tearing it apart which comes with a very high probability then he will be the G.Abblet Jnr and Ward of next year.

I do seem to remember an article at the beginning of this year or perhaps the end of last that stated his commitment to the Bombers.

I wouldn't be concerned if either left to be honest as long as we got a good deal.

Hardingham started the season well but dropped off dramatically towards the end. Was horrendous in the Elimination final. Will need to improve to hold his spot in the side come round one next year.

Colyer for me still has too many deficiencies to be part of our best 22. Goes missing in games too regularly and disposal is questionable. Also panics a lot with the ball in hand. Doesn't use his pace to advantage as much as he could.

There is scope for improvement for both players but I don't think it would be the end of the world if they were to head home.

Pretty much agree with you, AS9.

Hardingham was fantastic between rounds 1-10; one of our most reliable, in my opinion.

So I'd prefer to keep him, and hope he returns to that form at the very least, but if we lose him, I'd be content if we gained some decent compensation.

Hardingham for Barlow? :p

The West Australian reported that Hardingham played elimination final after just being told a good friend had passed away as a result of a football collision the previous week. He was pronounced brain dead and his family said goodbye so he could become an organ donor. In hindsight, could go a long way to explaining Hardingham's poor game.

Re: uncontracted players?

Hardingham & Colyer are the interesting ones, we might be trading these 2, just seems very odd they are yet to sign.
