D.Jarman or Akermanis

Who was the better player, Both exceptional kicks and elite skills, both had killer instincts and can tear teams apart of off their own boots, just curious who people would rate as the better footballer.

Probably the best two players I've seen put up for a comparison from a similarity perspective.

Akermanis by an absolute bee's dick for me. I don't really know why. Perhaps his ability to destroy a team with either foot off one step from outside 50.

Jeez they were both good players. Loved watching them more than most other footballers I've watched over the years.

Jarman was just a beautiful mover with magnificent skills, whereas Akermanis whilst probably just as agile but was more brutal with his skills.

For me it was a bit like watching Mark Waugh bat and then watching Gilchrist bat. Both a joy in different ways.

Jarman for mine. Extremely damaging in the big games. More so than Aker IMO.

For sheer talent, Jarman. For overall package, Aker maybe.

Both stood up on big days when needed, in fact both did it twice.

But its Jarman by miles .... just a freak. Who would forget his 4th quarter efforts in both the 1997 and 1998 Grand Finals.
