Higgins was certainly a very good pick. Would rate him as being equal to Thomas. Higgins has had injuries, and if not for that I would rate him well ahead of Thomas to date.

From that draft I still like Pendlebury as my pick of the draft. Captain material and already amongst the best mids in the league. Will only get better.

Ellis was still a good pick, just for Collingwood with Maxwell, Harry O, Goldsack and other medium size backs Ellis would be pretty redundant while Thomas is pretty unique to this side which is why I'm still in favour of Thomas.

yeah i belive if higgins had not off been ingjured for most off his carea he would be the best off the draft and personaly think he will end up the best but thats seeing it threw a dogs eyes.. anyway i belive that thomos will shut everyone up and have a blinda off a year this year.

Ellis as in Xavier???!!!!???? ****en lol

weak as piss hbf with a gay name, when he wins a game off his own boot like Thomas and higgins have then we will consider x ***

Thomas knows no other way than flat out and can change a game.

For his sake I hope he can put on a few pounds to give him the body to match his effort.

Ellis is a good solid player but his head bleeds a little too easily for my liking.
Had an interupted year in 09 and his output when playing was below Thomas.

If Hawthorn offered Ellis for Thomas in a trade there would be a swift reply.
NO.

Rate Higgins highly. Has that something extra. When he played your mob were 10% better.:thumbsu:

Lol how creative... Ironic that a Collingwood supporter would suggest that I stick an area of the MCG where bogans and ferals are prevelent, I guess we will find out about Thomas this season, if he turns it up and has a big year I will be the first to stick my hand up and say I was wrong, but lets just wait and see :thumbsu:

LOL.
Don't really know your way around here yet do you?

Bay13 is an area in this forum where bogans and ferals are very "prevalent", mostly Hawthorn supporters, unfit to lick the boots of a Collingwood supporters grans gardener.

On ya bike newbie hick grammar murderer.

was watching the 2008 game agaisnt the cats the other day, Thomas started in the middle that game and was in the action early, just made me think wow if he can build his fitness up he has everything else going for him to be a top mid. Hes just a victim of his own flare, people see one mark or one miraculous goal and label him as a flashy front runner, they tend to overlook the head over the ball at every opportunity and the amount of gut running and also the numerous tackles he lays.

Will never have a problem with daisy in our 22 if he keeps all that up, the flashy stuff is just icing.

Our midfields getting depth , can only add more confidence to the likes of daisy dids and even leon.

Ellis isnt a bad player, i think we have enough of his type though if not better types, more accountable and physical in goldy and tooves.

Personally I think that he could be an extremely good player. But yes he does need a breakout season and I'm tipping he will have one sooner rather than later. Has always shown that he has all the attributes needed to at least be in the top 50 AFL players. Just needs to do it on a more regular basis.
