I wonder why neither GC nor Port preferred to deal with North. Their first pick next year should be a good one.

How indeed?
Maybe, just maybe other picks might be involved? If you guys get 13 in a deal for Noble then the Suns need to b disbanded.
Ouch.Yes 2 picks in the 20s for Finn Callaghan.
What else should they trade it for?If you guys get 13 in a deal for Noble then the Suns need to b disbanded.

Have you checked the age profile of yours?Have you checked the age profile of your list lately? I wouldn't be trading a future 1st if I was Collingwood.
Tom Morris is reporting F1 + Noble for 13 + 23. It is GCS and they have a history with bad deals but that is genuinely awful for them. Means they are essentially paying pick 23 for Noble (even more if Pies finish top 5-6 next year).Maybe, just maybe other picks might be involved?
If we take out Pendles we drop by about 9 yearsHave you checked the age profile of yours?
Lol how did you get F1 plus 13?So it will be pick 13 + F1 + Richards
Pick 13 is our F1. The deal will probably be something like 13 + Richards + (?), and if it becomes a 3 way with GC maybe we can find a way to get Lukosious to you guys for a bit cheaper. So it will be pick 13 + F1 + Richards
Lol your offer of a future first and future second is far more attractive then ?Tom Morris is reporting F1 + Noble for 13 + 23. It is GCS and they have a history with bad deals but that is genuinely awful for them. Means they are essentially paying pick 23 for Noble (even more if Pies finish top 5-6 next year).
Yeah i agree Nobes is nowhere near worth that pick alone but a future first could be top 5 if all the other Bigfooty experts are right about how shit we'll be next year.Tom Morris is reporting F1 + Noble for 13 + 23. It is GCS and they have a history with bad deals but that is genuinely awful for them. Means they are essentially paying pick 23 for Noble (even more if Pies finish top 5-6 next year).
And what if it’s pick 20 next year or so?Trade it next year for a really good offer (like Brisbane etc have done in previous years) don't trade it now when you don't know if it will be top 5.
Pick 13 for a F1 and F2 is better value for GCS yesLol your offer of a future first and future second is far more attractive then ?
The delusion is incrediblePick 13 for a F1 and F2 is better value for GCS yes
The fact that you think giving up ~23 for Noble is good value is ridiculous. The delusion is incredible
You’re upset I know but time to move on
Only if they value draft picks more than established players they believe will fit in to their system, which at this point they clearly don’t.Pick 13 for a F1 and F2 is better value for GCS yes
It's not when there is a player that GC really want involved. They've courted him, offered a good deal and plan to have him in their team. You might not agree with how they value him, but they'll value it above an F2. They need established players to play finals.Pick 13 for a F1 and F2 is better value for GCS yes
Ask your coach what he would preferThe fact that you think giving up ~23 for Noble is good value is ridiculous.
And no I am not upset about Houston - you can check my previous postings on the topic. Have never been confident it is the right move and would only be interested if we keep a pick in the top 15 of this year's draft.
GCS could still get Noble in without involving him in this deal.Only if they value draft picks more than established players they believe will fit in to their system, which at this point they clearly don’t.
Of course a coach would prefer an established player - that's why every club has a list management team. Their role is to make sure the list remains balanced role wise, the salary cap is kept in check and age doesn't become a concern. It's not as simple as Houston vs draftee.Ask your coach what he would prefer
Pick 12 or a ready made AA calibre player to have a tilt next year?
My point was GCS could get Noble without including him in this deal for 13. Anyway all I'm saying is I think it's a poor deal for GCS if that's what it ends up being. But like I've said it won't be a first for them. It's not when there is a player that GC really want involved. They've courted him, offered a good deal and plan to have him in their team. You might not agree with how they value him, but they'll value it above an F2. They need established players to play finals.
If Collingwood have told them them that they’ll only deal Noble in a deal with pick 13 involved (which is allegedly what they’ve done and why GC are negotiating with them on it before other clubs), then no, they couldn’t.GCS could still get Noble in without involving him in this deal.
Lol how did you get F1 plus 13?
Our F1 is what is being traded in for 13….
You need to have some balls at some point otherwise you are wasting the peak years of some players.Of course a coach would prefer an established player - that's why every club has a list management team. Their role is to make sure the list remains balanced role wise, the salary cap is kept in check and age doesn't become a concern. It's not as simple as Houston vs draftee.
How are we gonna get a first rounder in without offloading one out?I thought you were trading Noble and something for 13?
Surely you're not trading Noble and F1 for 13
