Sure, it's only Melbourne, but there is sure to be a bit a let down after our fantastic pounding of the Gay Flag Followers.

i'm a bit worried too - usually we have a downer the week after the derby. Hopefully the thought of playing finals footy which looked near impossible mid-season, will stop the boys from taking it too lightly and undoing all their hard work.

It will be interesting and a test of Woosha's coaching capabilities to get them up again. We have been in terrific form and Melbourne have lost form at the wrong time of year. They will be fired up for a win but we should get over the line. I will be more worried if its raining because that will close the game right up and then it could be anyone's game aka the Shockers game.

Which is just how it should be! Actually I think a loss would do you good - get your heads out of the dilusional clouds that make a win over Freo = Wet Toast are the red hot flag faves with a team of megastars.

I think, since the mid season break anyway, the boys have coped fairly well with 'danger' games and, unlike some other teams around here, haven't lost any games that have been determined wins before they've already been won. Woosha's been very clear about his approach being 1 week at a time, and I'm pretty confident about this weekends game.

I never have seen any evidence of West Coast Players carrying on like a lot of megastars. I only see that at the Violets with Farmer and Medhurst. If these blokes changed their attitude, they could be explosive footballers.

Plus, I have not see a WC supporter here say we are a shoo in for the flag. Delusional, no. You...Hmm, yes.

Mind you, I may be a little vindictive here and let you know I feel very pleased
that we Coasters ended your teams finals chance. That has made my year.

Melbourne can be an mystery, but the Eagles are ripe for this. 6th spot is not out of the question and Woosha may have them focused on that.

With Melbourne down on form and the game at Subiaco, I see the Eagles favourites for this match and rightly so. You would pick them on form alone.

However all games are danger games. As much as Melbourne want a spot in the top 4, we have a chance for sixth and it will be a tight tussle, but I am also sure the players are not overly confident and Woosha has them in the right frame of mind.

It is a danger game but nowadays, all games are danger games. Were in good form and were at home so I will back us in.

I'm a bit nervous, partly because i get the feeling that these last two months must have taken an awfol lot out of our team, but mainly just because it seems that there's a limit to how much happiness the footy gods will let us experience over a two month period.

In the end though, we're a team in very good form, on our home turf and going up agianst a team in pretty poor form. Given that melb will most likely finish 5th win or lose, we also have a bit more to play for.

That doesn't add up to a certain win, far from it, Melbourne have a nasty habit of being a bit of a bogey side for us over here, and I have a suspicion that Neitz being out will actually help them sort out a proper structure rather than the easy to nullify kick-it-to-neitz.

But, basically, we're in very good form, we really need to win this, and post derby celebrations or not, we should get up. If we don't, well we'll have noone to blame but ourselves.

We can only miss the 8 if both Essendon (v bulldogs) and Freo (v Saints) win. Freo don't have much hope of beating saints, so I think we're pretty safe.

A little anxious but confident. Melbourne have had three very hard weeks chasing games which must of taken something out of them. We on the other hand haven't had to travel for 3 weeks now and have won that last two comfortably. Expecting a shoot out early on but we should be able to run the game out much stronger than them.
Lose and we could be playing them again next week in their own backyard.
