Danger has to agree to any trade though right?

No good telling Geelong to GF if Danger says GF to everyone else...
Except Danger then risks ending up going to the PSD where he could go to Carlton, Brisbane or GCS. He wouldn't want that, so may be willing to accept a trade to a Melbourne-based team instead.

And he's worth more than $800,000.
He's not and won't be paid more than Selwood or Hawkins (although I'm not sure if Joel has overtaken Tom as our highest paid).

Regardless it'll be alot more than 800k, Cotton On & Costa will make sure of it.

Geelong players don't pay for anything around the town, all adds up.

Out of curiosity, how do the restricted free agency rules work in the event where there's more than 1 club?

E.g. Geelong offer Danger $800k x 5 years. The Crows match it, so now either Geelong work a trade or he goes in the PSD. Obviously Geelong don't get another crack at it, but can ANOTHER club come in with a RFA offer? E.g. say Melbourne or whoever now stand up and say "we'll give you $1.2m x 5 years" which the Crows CAN'T match, is he allowed to accept that offer? Or by accepting the original Geelong offer does that end his free agency opportunities?

Danger gets one crack- he chooses which offer he wants to accept and that goes to the Crows to match. If they do, no more bites of the cherry

Dangerfield likes money. Fact. $800,000 is less than he's worth. Fact. He's better than Selwood and Hawkins. Fact. You can't cheat. Fact. He will want what he's worth and he'll drive his price up. Stop circle jerking in the Geelong board and come over here expecting false logic and confirmation bias from us. We're not in the circle jerk.

Do you really think this hasn't been decided on already? Geelong have been talking with him for 12 months plus.

Nothing's changing now.

Be careful assuming what Danger wants.

If there's a reasonable deal with the Cats there, we take it. We cannot afford to lose him for nothing.

Yes they've been talking and indicating but he never agreed or signed a contract. You are an idiot if you think he, or in particular, his manager will not try and get the money he's worth. He'd have everyone advising him to get what he's worth and he likes money so he'll want what he's worth too (and still think you'll have team success because he thinks he's three players in one). It's a hobby for you but it's his life!

You also have NFI about how tight the AFL are on fringe benefits now so probably best not comment on Costa doing shit which would have you sanctioned by the AFL.

I think you admitted to being " incorrect" in one post, another poster responded to yor post with a " no it's not" gif and another replied that you should stop saying silly things

Again you state " there is a very real possibility" Cats can get Danger for nothing
It's been pointed out to you - quite patiently I think - that that is not the case

As previously posted
I think you've had a fair crack

But post away / just don't squeal when people tire of your ignorance and resort to a base level
I have no idea what you're talking about re the bolded.

As for the rest of what I said, I've already explained how "there's a very real possibility" of it eventuating. I'm not stating explicitly that it will, I'm just saying that the possibility is not just "there", but it is absolutely apparent. It has also been stated by a handful of Crows' supporters on here that what I've stated is correct. Or do you dispute there being the a possibility altogether that should Geelong walk from a deal after Adelaide matches, Geelong will still get their man?
