No one should be wishing this flog any good luck! He doesn't deserve any! No respect for the AFC or it's fans/members/sponsors!
All year he was saying "I don't know yet" "I haven't made up my mind yet" "I love this football club" BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!
Even last night at the AA awards he said the same bullshit line! His time at the AFC now means nothing. He's the enemy and I hope he receives a very negative reaction upon his return to Adelaide Oval! I'm sick of this flogs crying home to mummy and daddy! Patrick I hope you never win a premiership and realise the mistake you have made!

Mate he was forced to take the cut. All because you guys want to sign Dixon on a ridiculous deal.

But it's not a pay cut.

If he took the 2 year deal, their cap would have been 400K in 2016 & 400K in 2017.

Now, it's just 400K in 2016. Doesn't change the amount paid in 2016 at all.

True.

I'd be probably a little more focused on the fact that Brad Crouch wants to explore his trade options at the end of next season rather than a false rumour about one of our boys.

Enjoy xoxo.
One word

YOU enjoy

Lewis and jarman have pretty much put a line through bennell. Stating that the clubhas a no dickheads policy and wont be heading down that path. Can this day get any worse?

Jarman? I wouldn't believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

This is how far he is off the pulse down at West Lakes

Well thank **** its over, was so sick of this beat up and the media putting him above the club. No one player is bigger than the club, 1 exceptional player will not win our club premierships, the guy is so up himself its not funny, have fun back in Victoria with the media circus which u love, goodbye Patrick Dangerfield...our players better give him a warm welcome when he comes back to play us in Adelaide

There signing Dixon on a ridiculous deal which means Schulz had to lose 400K and a year of Football, I would count this as a Paycut. Just read to sign Hartlett again they need to have the deal back ended to get through there salary cap squeeze.

So there salary cap is obviously at bursting point. I'd be happy with Hartlett but would rather Bennell who I think we are going to land.

Does seem very odd that we say he's exploring his options in 'Victoria'. Is that our wording our the wording of Danger's actual request to leave to the Crows?
Makes sense to me. By stating Geelong, we are limiting our market/options. At least this way we are open to entertaining other Victorian clubs offers (if we want to).

In the event that multiple clubs offer contracts, I assume we only need to match the offer that is accepted? (Rather than, say, the largest one?).

Good move by the club IMO.

Probably just to avoid scrutiny over the face he's been talking with Geelong for over a year about coming over. Make it seem like he hasn't agreed to anything yet.

We should have made a stand when Gunston chose hawthorn as his preferred club. We should have sent him to the pre-season draft. Anyway, better late than never. Just don't let Nobke anywhere negotiations.

Our administration was different then. Give this one a chance until proven otherwise.

Fagan all over this as expected.

Hastily brings forward the announcement of Danger's departure to push Leak-Gate to the background.

Gun CEO.
Speaking of leak gate (puts tin foil hat on) the catalyst of the recent excitement was Caro's article. This year she has been very friendly to the Crows. What's the chance we leaked it to her knowing it would bring the facade to a head instead of waiting another 2 weeks to play out?

You need to stop throwing out random comments like 'who I think we are going to land'. You would like us to land him, want to land him, desire him even ... but when you say you 'think we are going to land' someone it makes it seem as though you have a reason to say that.

Sorry, but it's been a tough week.

Would be more Dangerfield/Conners making Geelong think they're not the only option to drive the price up.

We have to match the offer that Danger chooses. He could have all 17 clubs submit an offer but if he only wants to go to Geelong then thats the one we have to match. We have no options to keep open.

Hahahahahaha you've got to love self interest. Yes Costa, the rule which explicitly states we have certain rights and entitlements should not be exercised because it's against the spirit of the rule (but not against the express terms of said rule).
So is Costa trying to say that the spirit of the rule is that Restricted Free Agency is exactly the same as Free Agency. Why have the 2 rules then Frank.

If we match the offer, he automatically becomes a player that must be traded for. Right?

Does that not enable us to listen to other trade offers? (from those with more ammunition).

I know at the end of the day Danger has to agree to go there, but it does place more pressure on Geelong to come up with something reasonable.
