They did but they've done well because Crisp has turned out to be a very good footballer. They also used 25 well. Pick 5 was great but it was helpful that Brisbanes first pick was pick 5. What if it was pick 9?
In a nutshell they got a top 10 pick, a second rounder and a young player.
That should be our minimum trade if we are going to compare with what they got for Beams who was contracted and Collingwood had to be enticed to let him go.
My understanding is that the draft falls away quickly this year. Why would we want 2 second rounders. The players available my ......well I wont say it.

More chance another club taking Dangerfield in the ND than the PSD where TPP budgets start to dry up ...most contracts are completed by then and clubs are looking for cheap top ups

But thanks for answering it eventually ....he will definitely get past Carlton , pies won't have a pick before 9 and essendon is one that could take him , and Melbourne would consider having a crack , it would be worth it just to boost their membership and build some excitement

I think he plays a bit more as a high half forward.
i would have any ill will towards the admin if your scenario happened because I think that it is AMAZINGLY unlikely that Danger would make it to Geelong in the draft. I would expect 8 other team's fans to be super pissed with their admin though.
Carlton and Brisbane wouldn't take Dangerfield instead of weitering and schache ...essendon and Melbourne and maybe saints would be 3 teams that would consider it but not guaranteed

Lever already can replace what they thought they were going to get from VB. I think the myth of Dmac's elite run and carry has been busted, so he can be replaced by just about anyone. In fact, recently delisted Brodie Martin would add about 20% each game on top of what Dmac supplied this year.

I would be amazed if all above Geelong in the draft wouldn't take him as:
Worst case scenario: pick him up for 1-2 years and then trade him for 1-2 first round picks then as he no longer has free agent status = nothing lost heaps gained. He is in the TOP 3 players in the comp for and is entering his prime!
