He built as the game went on. Probably fortunate not to have to contend with Talia tonight. Something to use as a stepping stone perhaps, but I like the way he presented and the goal on 3QT was huge as it snapped the elastic.

Really good game. 5 contested marks, should have had 3 goals, competes well in the ruck. I feel confident every time we kick it to his advantage that he’ll mark it - haven’t felt that way since Cloke, and he’s played 5 games...

True. Very good for just his 5th game. I know he's not a kid, but still impressive, and still young enough that there's a lot of room for improvement. We just need to keep our expectations realistic and be patient for the time being, and he will be better and more consistent in the future.

That stat David King read out about DC having never been beaten in a marking contest (meaning giving up a mark to the opposition) was quite eye opening. That’s night & day ahead of Cox, who was constantly being picked on by intercept defenders

I think it would delight us all (except perhaps Cox) if Cameron can turn this game into his minimum and build towards bigger performances.
On the other hand, also have to pump the brakes, it was the Crows. Our forwards play as a barometer of how our team plays. Garbage first half- nothing for the forwards. Decent second half- decent output from forwards.

All in all I am content with Cameron's night and he ought to stay in the side for the time being, but I can always ask for a bit better.

Cameron had an excellent game tonight. Showed he could take a mark inside 50 which he hasn't proven previously. Only knock is he was up against a poor defence (I dont think Talia would have got beat like that) but you can only play against your opponent. Next challenge is doing it against a stronger defender.

Credit where it’s due, he played a good game tonight. Actually presented well as a target inside 50 and was duly rewarded for it. If he can keep having games like that the spot is his for the time being.

I think him and Reid can coexist. Reid being the deeper FF, while Cameron the roaming CHF.

He has the tools, but he needs development. Playing him the rest of the year will help, but we need good forward coaching for him... which I'm not sure we have right now sadly, on or off the field. He's one to watch though.

Get 50 into this guy and see what happens, 5 games in for a big guy, should be worth the investment with some luck.
