I've got no doubt Darcy will be a beauty. He just isn't ready to be the player he can be yet. Still a baby as far as a key forward goes.
We don't need to rush him. Let him play forward in the VFL for a while & enjoy watching him develop.

You can't make a call like that after a debut in last night's game, give him another 2 games and see how he goes.
If we can still win games while giving him seniors experience and he can handle the mental and physical difference why not?
Don't think we will do the same as Melbourne with Watts, they are completely different beasts

I can see why People say that and Looking at his Body. It’s not Quite Ready for AFL. Maybe a Massive Pre-Season(Injury Free) and Train as a Forward and Not a Backman and he might be be Pushing for Selection next year.

I still think he can help the AFL Side this Year. Remember Daniher played early in his Career at the Bummers

I don't think he really earned the call up based on his VFL form to be honest.
Having said that I'd have no problem with them giving him more opportunities in the senior team this year. I think Bucks is keen to implement a 3 talls forward line & Reid is more likely than not going to break down again. So Darcy will get chances. I just feel we are throwing him to the dogs a little with very few games against men under his belt at this stage. Missed a fair chunk of footy with the hammy remember.

Plus Reid is a Backman in 2015

Unfortunately if making the finals is you priority then he shouldn't have been picked on form and he isn't ready, I think he would be better off at this stage learning his craft in the VFL. if he is to get a run it should be against Carlton and other lessor teams. I think we should be going with Grundy, Witts, Cloke and White at this stage.

He was an indulgence that we can't afford at this stage if we want to play finals. Alternatively, if finals is not your main priority, leave him in and rotate a few more kids through the team over the rest of the season. This is my preferred strategy but for most on here finals has become the main aim.

Gault got gifted game, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Moore line up in the next couple of weeks. Plus his competitiveness was much better than Gaults.

So you think from what you sore in 1 game he is Overrated?

He did not get near the Ball as did not get kicked to him much at all

Thats not my opinion of him as a future player at all. I was simply saying that trying to explain his lack of possessions as everyone else fault for not kicking it to him is silly. It was moores fault he didn't get much of the ball. I'm not going to rate or dislike him of a debut game but I can say he didn't set the world on fire. He only showed a willingness to run and some courage. We didn't get to see any football ability because he couldn't get near it. But I imagine stepping up to the much faster paced AFL would be hard to grasp.

How was it’s Moore’s Fault he did not get much of the Ball? I saw him not getting kicked too and Fasolo taking away a few marks he most likely taken.

Lot of Young KPD’s who came Superstars started there Career’s slow

Moore is likely to go back to the VFL next week as Grundy will play vs Port, but there are silver linings to Darcy getting a senior game so early.

Yes he didn't burst onto the stage like some may have expected but he now has had a taste and will know what is required to improve and ultimately compete at senior level.

Plus, when he goes back to the VFL, with no Still, and maybe no Abbott, he will be the most relied upon forward target for a VFL side fighting for a top 4 spot.

I said at the start of the season that if De Goey and Moore played 4-5 senior games each I'd be happy with that, obviously JDG has exceeded those expectations already, but Moore should play at least 3 senior games if he stays fit you'd think, which is a nice base leading into next season.

I'd expect by the middle of next season, unless we recruit an experienced key forward, Moore will be playing most weeks in the seniors.

I don't see all the tension here. Moore played a bad game, that's that no ifs or buts. Clearly Moore needs more time in the VFL. He is not best 22 as of now. That's not me putting him down. He's going to be a super star, but everyone knows it takes a KPP 2-3 years on average to reach AFL level. Darcy needs more time in the VFL. It's how i see it and ask any other supporter their opinion and they'll more likely agree he's not ready than he is. There's no point getting very one-eyed then getting bad tempered when someone else has a different perspective.

TLDR; Darcy is not ready, played a bad game but doesn't mean anything.

I love that Darcy has now had a taste of the big time against the highest quality opposition.

He will walk away from that game understanding where he needs to improve. I would not be against playing him again in Adelaide next week the dropping him back to the VFL for a few weeks.

So you say Play Moore as just about the Only KPF in the VFL Side. With Still gone for the Year and Abbott sounds like he was Hurt again. Play Alongside Gault and Cox who be the Resting Ruckman. So you think that be better for him. Guess he will see the Ball going his way lot more then in the AFL.

Though I don’t think it would hurt Either IF he stayed in the AFL side against a Weaker Opponent

I know that. I'm not bagging him. Im saying its HIS fault he didn't touch the footy. How can you blame everyone else for him hardly touching it. Did you blame the rest of the players for elliot hardly touching it. Just because he is your favourite doesn't mean he is perfect.

It’s not Entirely Elliots or Moore’s Fault that neither had low possession games
