30 - Collingwood - Josh Thomas

I obviously still hold hope that Luke Ball will slip to us. But lets face it, a lot has to go our way for that to happen.

This is meant to be about logic, and logic says Ball won't last til 30. But there are many reason why he might. That is going to involve a committment from Ball to Collingwood by openly telling teams he doesn't want to go there.


So if we don't get Ball, I hope we get Thomas. The Beams experiment worked last year and Thomas fits the bill of someone we need. Good speed out of the packs.

Collingwood have good in and unders coming through but no doubt we need to continue building the midfield. I like what I see from Thomas

Nice effort Dave. From a Port Adelaide point of view cant see them passing on Lucas and Cunnington if Butcher goes early. Players like these 2 can really set up a great midfield for any club and with both the Burgoynes gone there is more chance that they may go 2 mids. #16 will be very interesting. I believe with Hocking at the club we may go for someone were not expected to e.g. Bartlett. Look forward to seeing whose predictions are close to the mark.

Would be more than happy to have Black at Carlton, although I have only seen a small highlights package of him. Very clean below his knees for a big bloke, and WH certainly isn't afraid to draft kids from WA.

He has kicking issues- if we want a ruckman, then Max Gawn is the one I would take IF AVAILABLE, if he is unavailable, then I'dtake a crumbing forward at 33 and take a mature ruckman in the rookie draft. Plenty of mature ruckman that don't have kicking issues.

Kicking issues . You obviously don't know much about footy. He is 18. give him a break. Kicking can be improved. We probably need one more young key forward in our squad, coz we don't know if players like Neagle, Gumbleton or Still will make it. Now what's wrong with that?

Interesting read mate... nice to see something a bit different. I wouldnt be unhappy with that from an Ess point of view. I doubt we will get Cunnington at #10 but stranger things have happened!!
