Growing speculation that Armitage is heading to Windy Hill

Would we be happy with Armitage ?

Better to get Robert Eddy, Farren Ray, Jarryd Geary, Jack Stepen, Andrew McQualter.

They all get a game before Armitage.

The question is why does he not get a game at St Kilda? Is it because they have a superior player who plays the same style?

Is he a inside or outside midfielder?

I think its something that should be looked at, he has played well everytime he has been given the chance, and alot of 'specialists' have been waiting for Lyon to give him the opportunity.

Because he isnt much good.

We had this debate when we traded in Prismall - And Geelong has a better midfielder than Geelong.

IMO Armitage has shown a bit less than prismall at the same stage of their careers - And that is saying something.

Lots of players linked to clubs at this stage.

His trade value is an interesting question.

No 9 draft pick.
4 years in the system
20 something games.

I would only give up a pick in the 40's.

He is not comparable with Prismal, PRismal showed at his time with Geelong that he could play as a small forward, can Armitage?

Do think he could be a good player, if anything I would be giving up a third rounder for him at most.

Armitage is a decent depth player but i wouldnt give away too much for him.

Combination of both I reckon. He may have got Ross offside I reckon because he was earmarked to take Ball's role this season.

COuld do with a change of scenery. The talent is there. One thing you will get from him is ruthless attack on the ball and he is one of the best tacklers going around. When he tackles his intent is to hurt his opponent.

I would not be against getting him on the cheap to help out Watson. He is a better player than Prismal and the type of player we need.

Is he too similar to David Myers?

Both similar 'inside' midfielders who have 'shown something' at AFL level both however lacking opportunities. Difference is, one is at the club who finished runners up in the AFL while the other has lacked opportunities in one of the worst midfields in the comp!!

James Hird said his going after youth so i think David Hale is Ruled out.

Armitage - haven't seen to much of him but from what i have seen he wasn't that bad and wasn't a superstar but i thought he done his job to hold his spot. how he cant get a game a head of Eddy has me Stumped.

He could of been the Houil of St.kilda.

Armitage and Myers are completely different players.

Armitage is a pure midfielder and Myers is a HFB.
