Rodans progress in the past four games:

Internal Trials:
3 Goals
Clearly BOG

vs. Adelaide Crows:
Best (no BOG possibily due to limited game time)

vs. Geelong:
1 Goal
shared BOG with Bartel (on a losing side)

vs. St.Kilda
4 Goals
Single handedly destroyed St.Kilda
Clearly BOG

Conclusion: Rodan is progressing at astonishing speed. He clearly knows his footy!:D

good luck to him, sounds like hes settling in well down there. Wouldnt burn me if he did kill it for the power, things just didnt work out for him down here. Never felt he would be elite, but hes got enough game to be useful.

Unfortunately we wasted about 5 yrs on him, congratulations to him though, best of luck, but i don't think he will play in a premiership side in his career. Not knocking port, just saying, if they were to win a premiership, dont think he would be in the 22

 !? David Rodan suit our speedy midfield perfectly. He is a combination of strength and speed which we lacked ever since Byron "Choppy" Pickett left.

Sorry but your whole world is going to crash down right here - David Rodan is slow.

All his tests are terrible for speed and the illusion that he has any is because he takes little steps and takes everyone on. Have you noticed how he almost always gets tackled yet? You soon will, and that is because he is slow.

Slow midfielders who can't kick are not our style.:p

Nah in all seriousness he's a cool player and I hope he does well. No matter what he does though Richmond fans will never be cut up about it. So no use trying to start a thread to "rub it in our faces" because he isn't compatible with Richmond.

Blitzkrieg Boy, I dont know what you're trying here but everyone here has always been supportive of Rodan because he's a top bloke, unfortunatley he couldnt find good enough form at Richmond but all the best to him at Port.

So if this is some kind of troll you arent going to get much reward. Have a good day.

Don't get me wrong! I'm merely updating his progress for anyone who cares

We all liked him. Lets see how he goes when he isn't playing on 18-year old kids in preseason.

He struggles to win the hard-ball when the big bodies are around. He can't tackle someone like Ricciuto or Buckley who blast right through him. No one has bothered to expolit him yet. Not to mention his decision making under pressure is a whole lot different to his decision making in March.

I never liked him when he played with you lot. Thought he was a ball hog who tried to do far too much and almost always got caught. Thought he was overhyped because he kicked a goal over his head once.

I dunno...im reserving judgement, but we couldnt have asked him to do much more than what he has done so far. 4 matches, 4 times in the best players. He is built like a brick outhouse, seems to be reasonably pacey to me and his skills have been excellent so far.

Theres been plenty of March heroes before so it will be interesting to see how he goes when the real stuff starts.

ah good luck to him. he was never going to be anything at richmond and imho probly needed the rocket of delistment up his clacker to make him into something. we shall see how he goes when the real stuff starts anyway.

DRod's been a 'March hero' before.
His decision making skills are appalling.
It will be a whole different kettle of fish come the real deal and that's why we ditched him.

This reminds me of Fiora dominating in his first preseason with the Saints. Having said that Rodan is a great bloke and i think most fom Richmond would wish him well.

it baffles me that Richmond delisted this guy. do you guys have one player currently on your list better than D-Rod? if you do i aint heard of them yet

the way everyone has hopped onto his bandwagon he is a shoe-in for the next 2 coleman's, 3 brownlow's and a norm smith somehow thrown into that bunch as well...the guy has played a couple of good games...wow...he was delisted by richmond for a reason....good players dont get delisted...

Hows your fishing going, I hope you catch something better with other comments, but nice try.

David Rodan was the worst player on our list, yep worst than Ray Hall and Greg Tivendale. He continually made bad decisions, tried to do too much, lacked penetration in his kicking and couldn't win his own ball.

I played my junior career playing against him and with him in combined teams, fantastic guy, one of the nicest around, and I hope he has a long career at Port Adelaide, cause he deserves it for being such a professional since he was 14 years of age.

But the comment you made lacks football nous.

lol at putting Drod above the likes of brown, richardson, bowden, johnson, simmonds etc etc. especially after only a few practice games. nice try at fishing, sorry you didnt pull it off, and thanks for the laugh.

Very good points weaver he definitely hung on the ball way too long.
